    Azzurri New Partnership

Azzurri in Naples are dropping Orlando City partnership and will partner with Juventus. More information will be released later, but coaches were just told by JD last night agreement has been signed for 2020-2022 seasons. Juventus will be receiving $100/pp registered with club and $10,000 technical fee per year. Given current numbers in club, this will be around a $55,000 fee each year going to Juventus for rights and education support. I can’t believe what JD is doing to SWFL and what used to be Optimist Soccer.

Wow. John has lost his mind. Why can’t Optimist just go back to being only Optimist.

The rumor is untrue. JD was approached by the Fire BOD about leaving and forming a Club.
JD decline the offer and RP accepted.

That doesn’t haven’t anything to do with Azzurri partnership with Juve. When we asked our coach today about rumor, he said, “I can’t really say anything, but next year will look a little different.”

          Merger Announcement coming Soon!

Heard today that the Fire coaches received word of the new combined GPS/Naples Fire Club! It's about time! This will bring together 2 of the strongest clubs to form a superclub in our area. Official announcement to come in March. No more GPS or Fire...New Club, New Name!
The merger will make it the largest club in SWFL, It will bring the two most successful clubs under one umbrella (look at previous years ranking & State Cup outcomes). It will also provide the largest footprint of any other club in SWF.
