The club, Lutz version, is only five years old. Given they are competing with much larger, established clubs who pay their coaches, the quality of the coaching and the success they have had is really quite commendable.

It's not a money grab. It's a dictatorship by MC. He is the problem. He's too stubborn and set in his ways. He runs off the good parents who actually do coach for free. It's a mess over there. MC also has to approve all tournaments that teams enter. His micromanaging frustrates coaches and parents. He has good intentions, but just can't help himself. He's a bitter guy that pisses everyone off who is serious about soccer.

He wants teams playing in tournaments for a purpose, not just running all over the state or country spending a ton of money because tournaments are fun. If you are a quality team that should be stepping out to challenge themselves, then go to appropriate tournaments. If you want to play a preseason tournament to help prepare for the season, then go do it. If you want to play inn a holiday tournament to keep the team sharp, makes sense. He simply asks that coaches be able to justify the purpose of their participation. Competitive soccer is expensive enough without throwing in unnecessary tournament fees and travel costs.
And yes, he frowns upon attending TBU tournaments. He left and started his own club because he was disgusted with the TBU money grab tactics.
And please tell me the names of these quality parents he has run off.

Who cares about the parents. They have run off plenty of good players and burned bridges with families by cutting a kid because their sibling left (ie; CB).

They pitch their camps and future 50, now those are nothing but money grabs. Why the does MC have the double standard?

Parents pay for these out of town tournaments and if the parent group doesn't think it's worth it or they just don't want to go then tell the coach and don't go. Don't act like anyone is being made to travel anywhere.
What does pitching camps have to do with Rangers? Sure, USF people are around but pitching opportunities to spend your money for camps and just flat out stealing it like other clubs is very different. There is no double standard. You're comparing apples to oranges.
"Who cares about parents?" The poster to whom I was responding.
Who is CB? It sounds like your kid got cut and you want to blame it on your other kid leaving. Feeling guilty and needing to deflect?

TBU charges higher fees than the Rangers. Some teams are worth more, some aren't.
Not playing TBU tournaments only hurts the Ranger families wallets. Rangers don't do many tournaments anyway, (another reason the club sucks) so going out of town is no big deal. Boycotting TBU is just petty. Although MC should run for office. If he put the same energy in championing lower taxes as he does lower soccer fees, then he could become governor.
CB is an excellent player that left the club. Afterwards their sibling's invitation to join another team was rescinded. Ask around and you'll learn who this is.

TBU just won a national championship. They have won multiple state cup titles. It would be nice to spend a little more money to get a chance to accomplish something. Here we just get our asses kicked.

He charges really low registration fees and tells you they'll be great coaching and training, blah blah blah. Then he gets Suzy's daddy to coach and he doesn't know a soccer ball from a tennis ball. They play a crappy 12 game schedule. And one lousy tournament and region cup.

Dude, we're talking about youth soccer. 99% of these kids will go no further with soccer than that, youth soccer. Your saying it's better, or ok, to charge unnecessarily high fees than it is to charge low fees and then find coaches where you can? That said, it is absolutely asinine to suggest that Rangers have ever had a competitive coach in place that didn't know anything about soccer. You'd be well advised to avoid making ridiculously, outlandish remarks when trying to win debates with intelligent people. You lose all credibility when you go there.
The club sucks because it doesn't do many tournaments? Why? Because tournaments are fun and interesting? We get to travel and I love staying in hotels? Not every team gets real value from playing multiple tournaments. And you were just complaining about traveling out of town. Make up your mind.
As for CB, lots of talented players leave lots of clubs every year. Are you sure the sibling was cut or let go because he left? Any chance the parents being a major pain in the ass had something to do with it? Maybe CB was groomed and developed by Rangers coaches, on a quality team, and decided that loyalty meant nothing when he/she decided to seek "greener" pastures. Maybe MC didn't want to develop another kid he was pretty sure was just going to leave. I know for a fact that has happened and there is nothing wrong with removing a current or potential cancer.
