Poster is of course making it up, but it is true that many of the scholarships - especially on the men's side - go to foreign athletes. There's only 9.9 scholarships for fully funded men's programs. At least one or close to full will got to the starting GK. So now it's 8.9. Most foreign athletes can't afford US tuition nor can they justify paying to come here when they can go to school at home for free or insanely low cost. They can't qualify for FA or Federal loans, only athletic or merit scholarships or private loans. Also take a look at who's starting most consistently - most times a good number of them are the starters and contributors. That's who coaches give their money too. By the time that's all said and done, there's little left for anyone else. There's literally websites and scouting agents helping athletes find scholarship money here.

For the women there's more scholarships (14) and fewer foreign players (about half the number as men currently but growing fast.

If you can't afford it easy don't do it. It is expensive soccer lessons for kids that can afford it.

if not for college whats the point? (to win a kid soccer game that no body will remember a month from now?) way more better trainers out there than susa has (and you don't have to join an academy). Private lessons by danilo are way more cheaper and better than anyone at susa....and you don't need to leave your team.

Susa has brought in so many kids on free scholarship this last year. Hear more are coming. Kids that financially don’t need it but they are good players. Complete BS. Worst is when you call them and tell them $3900 is really hard to accept you can see they don’t care at all. Then why give all these new kids FREE and don’t compensate kids that have been at the program?Complete BS!!!

The free loaders need someone to cover their kids soccer lessons. Ride it until there are not enough sponsors or schmucks left to pay for your kid and then you will have to get a job and pay yourself.
