That's a joke. He's the one who set up all the processes that has resulted in where we are now. His long term plan for American soccer top down was an absolute failure.

US Soccer in its entirety needs to be scrapped and rebuilt. By all accounts Chicago is a backstabbing sh**show, coaching is a joke, talent identification and development is terrible, MLS clubs (the only ones producing any decent talent) want to bail.

Jurgen dislikes MLS because they aren't up to international standards. That is totally true, but it's what we have. Without dual nationality passports most high potential youth players can't go abroad to train at ages when they should. We are not the rest of the world. We have to work with what we have. What we're doing now isn't working, but it goes beyond DA. It's also about talent identification, development, training, overall organizational structure and its goals, strategies and tactics.

They want to develop home growns that will benefit them either on their own teams to selling them off. Not all MLS clubs are good but as a whole it's where the vast majority of the better talent is training. Free to play means all players have a shot, not just those who can afford it. Some clubs are even starting residency programs so they can broaden their reach and give players even more training.

Soccer is not accessible, most players cant afford it. It is a sport for privilege people, we will never be good at that no matter how much Alexis Lalas want to convince america of that.
The problems are so deep. MLS is a league to make money by getting new teams at 200 million dollars, they couldn't care less to develop soccer players. In South America and Europe ex-players work in academy for the love of the game not because they want to coach in Champions league. We suck so bad! I find most american players boring to watch, slow and predictable.

15 of the 23 players called up were MLS players. You also have an MLS coach.
How are we supposed to grow if we keep making the same mistakes?
Why are we calling up guys like Bradley, Guzan and Zardes? What can they possible bring to this team?
