It’s Fall season - the leaves are changing and so begins the talk of players within clubs thinking about making the jump to other clubs for Spring tryouts. We live in Waterbury area and are thinking the same for our middle school aged son. Have sampled CFC (no thanks) and FSA is too far for us. Recommendations for other clubs - not much to pick from where we are.

Not even sure this thread is legit. Waterbury to FSA is half an hour, a bit more in rush hour. That's too far? Sorry but if you want decent soccer for older kids you're probably going to have to drive (unless you're lucky enough to live close to a decent club). For boys FSA probably is your best bet. Did you look at CFCU or just a branch? CFC branch teams are not good for boys, united is a better bet. Bethel is 40 min or so. Another option is AC CT based in Danbury, about the same distance. Rush in that area is very weak.

I've heard that Hat City FC in Danbury is going to be an excellent club and one to watch next year.
