    Ecnl-wnpl-enpl

So, how do theses three leagues work? Seems to me it presents a way for PSPL Clubs playing in WNPL to play against WYS clubs playing in ECNL as they could both reach ENPL. What am I missing?

A PSPL club would need to be accepted into the ECNL first. My guess is Gunners will be the first at some point.

ENPL has no requirement that a team be in ECNL. A PSPL team playing in WNPL-1 advances to ENPL just like the winners of ECNL. Theoretically, then, a PSPL team could play an WYS/ECNL team if the both reach ENPL. Anyone disagree? If so, post Rules/Evidence.

Seems that's right, at least theoretically, under the rules that applied for boys in 2019. "Theoretically" because there wasn't boys ECNL in 2018/19 in Washington or most of the rest of the country, and "for boys" because ECNL girls didn't compete in ENPL last year and it's hard to imagine they would in the future given their well-established playoff structure. The ENPL doesn't have anything posted for 2020, so who knows what the landscape will look like going forward. Here's a link to the ENPL site: https://www.elitenationalpremierleag...w/2980099-home

Girls ECNL has their national playoff venue and date posted, which suggests they will remain completely separate from ENPL: https://www.eliteclubsnationalleague...layoffs-19-20/

Boys ECNL does not have anything posted regarding any national playoffs, so unclear whether they will continue to compete in a consolidated playoff with the ENPL teams

I’m sure PSPL teams will be involved. Five year deal.

That’s a link to an article about the us club national cup. Unsurprisingly, teams from the local us club league (pspl) can qualify by winning the us club state and regional competitions. That isn’t responsive to the question about ecnl, rcl and pspl teams all competing against one another in enpl.

Looking back through the ENPL playoffs in past years, yes that is theoretically correct. However, it looks like very very few PSPL clubs make it that far. Overall the proportion of NPL clubs to ECNL clubs dropped quickly as the regional playoffs advance to nationals at least in 2018, the last year I could find with full playoff schedules/rankings. Furthermore, the NPL clubs that do well nationally seem to come from areas without much competition from boys DA or ECNL. ie Oxnard - a two hour traffic ridden drive from LA.
