Possible answers
- a great opportunity came up unexpectedly
- something personal happened (illness or family crisis)
- fired for poor performance, violating school rules, violating NCAA rules etc.
Naturally TS posters go straight for the last point

2017 record: 4-9-1
2016 record: 3-11-2
Last time they had a winning record? 2011.
I would go for the last point to

You must have a kid on the team and are worried. Coaches leave for all kinds of reasons all the time.

The Indy quarterback has been injured and on painkillers for 4 years. He can't walk and is in pain. What in the world does that have to do with this situation? The coach and her wife left to go someplace else. Did she at least tell Lynn she was not happy or considering leaving? Nope! And now the program is left in shambles, not that it is any worse than when she arrived.

As for potential? Not easy to recruit players to a school that is #100 regionally (not even on the national radar) and takes kids with 2.8 GPAs and 18 ACT. Good players that can leverage soccer to get into better schools will do that.
