The 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008 MF teams don't play EDP where a lot of the real competition is for younger teams. They mostly just play other MF teams in Alliance other than a tournament here and there. So not sure how the players are suddenly ECNL-ready at U13.

Got soccer is really just a case of how many tournaments you play. You could absolutely be the 8th best team and just play a load of tournaments and get points for it. The Youth Rankings website is far more objective.

It's interesting... someone posted Youth Soccer Rankings and was told they are not accurate. Then someone posted Got Soccer ranking and was told they are not accurate. Just so we can all agree, Match Fit is the best club in NJ. None of these soccer rankings mean a thing. They just ARE the best, and no argument. Pulling up any sort of rankings means nothing. This club is so good, rankings don't apply to them. Now lets move on and talk about more important things like is Clinton's ice tea the best or what???

Gotsoccer makes sense to compare teams that play in gotsoccer tournaments/leagues.

YSR makes a little broader sense, and more objective but in general has 3 flaws:
- depends on some level of anchoring of a score based on the first few scores
- closed leagues (eg GDA) with no inter league play are not going to have the right ‘relative score’ except for teams within their league
- ‘blow-out’ scores tend to have too much value assigned (just an opinion) and it’s about a goal differential, but not a true look at teams capabilities (eg defensive score vs offensive score)

Those rankings are incorrect.
Yesa heat is a futsal team and NJ Fire is a team of mixed players who are on all other club teams. Not sure you can count that one either. So those are not the top top 10.

MF would lose to a futsal team. So, that’s pretty much a correct assessment. YESA is just like NJ Fire, and it is a mixed team.

But, another question for the MF defenders is why is even MF ranked? Is it also not a mixed team? How are they different than NJ Fire? Doesn’t the team get revamped 2x a year and none of the players are truly developed at MF but pushed down to quit soccer?

You’re kidding right? Youth soccer currently has as the #1 NJ U14 girls team NJ Fire Black. Their game history on the site, on which presumably the rankings are based, are a bunch of futsal matches.
