Mason judge was a player from Florida that was part of this player pool for the national team. He went to Europe and is competing to play and therefore gets taken off the radar and other players step up and fill in.
It seems like the US coaching staff has had a lot of turnover in the last two seasons. This affects who they pick and may affect their performance. This team has some very good players on it, players who are in Europe or playing professional minutes domestically. We will need to see how they do and draw conclusions from the results.
