Where will that leave the program. Can you find a better coach? Very likely not. You might end up with the guidance counselor as the coach.

Zeke is a good coach by high school standards. But he is not a great coach and never will be.

What are you going to find that’s better out there.

Of course you can find a better coach. And you could also find one who actually cares about the kids as young men. Which he doesn’t.

Who started this thread? With a 7-1 record so far (only loss to Glastonbury who is undefeated) there's no way he loses his job.

People need to accept the role of HS sports from the school's perspective. Administrators want programs that keep kids involved, active and engaged. Doing ok is just fine. Turn in decent results, make a bit of a conference or state run, don't have any issues (don't get caught berating your players) and you're good. Again, winning record so whoever is bi*ching (probably over PT) isn't going to get what he wants.
