the fact that this player has to drive 2 hours to practice shows how crazy this all is. Why isn't there a club in Albany, which could service a number of kids from the general upstate area. WHy is there no club servicing the lower Hudson Valley east of the Hudson river? 2 hours between Rockland and Bethany or Farmington and there's nothing in this entire geography, which is pretty heavily populated with affluent families. Meanwhile CT has two teams in 30 minutes from each other. Massachusetts has Scorpions and STars (2 teams). NJ has MF and PDA (3-4 teams now?). Why does NYS (LI aside which is its own animal) have one club and why does that club not get the 2 team set up Stars and PDA do? So crazy.Comment

Competitive club wise Upstate soccer is weak, Albany Alleycats are the only game in town, she does compete in ODP, which helps, but if they want ECNL, they need to get to WCFC as Stars of MA is even further away.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
