Would make sense to have 4 ECNL teams instead of 3 (2 Stars, 1 Scorps) in MA for scheduling purposes, plus there are currently 15 teams in the northeast conference, so one more would also be good for scheduling.
If it happened one of East Meadow, SUSA or World Class (probably the later) would have to shift to the southern bracket of the north east conference.
Stars East
Stars West
Scorpions
NEFC
FSA
CFC
SUSA
East Meadow
PDA blue
PDA White
World Class
Match Fit
Continental
FC Bucks
Maryland United
Bethesda
This makes way to much sense to actually happen.

Que the “JD would never allow it” posts.
Question, if that is really the case how did NEFC get into ECNL before?

Threads like this show the desperation in NEFC country and how much in trouble they really are. They were in Ecnl as Breakers and they were given the possibility to return to it last year and put the nail in the coffin to DA. JD was willing to swallow his pride and let it happen to stick it to Us Soccer. The execs at Nefc trusted that DA will be it and they underestimated the devastating exodus of Ecnl clubs. There is no way they will be given another lifeline when there is a clear flux of players from DA to Ecnl. Bye bye Nefc.

The reality is, it’s good when the two big boys play each other. Last year was a little skewed because stars were juggling two leagues. But when both teams are at full strength it’s good stuff. Nothing wrong with rivalry games.
