Youth soccer is guaranteed to continue to change year to year. Luckily, still the same player pools, same coaches and same high number of college teams with spots for girls. Names, patches and leagues may change but it all essentially stays the same. No reason to stress or bash. Many paths to choose from.

        Sorry your ECNL team sucks.

The GDA will get better. Stinks now but will get better.

Since the season in the GDA has not started yet, I am not sure how one can tell it stinks.
Probably should wait to see results once the season is well underway.

As has been mentioned repeatedly the thorns program hasn't been good over past years but give it a few more years before you leave it for a lost cause. You never know. Stranger things have happened. Remember it's a pro track not college so the lack of signings is not a bad thing.

If the talent doesn't move over, the college coaches won't come. If the coaches don't come, the talent won't move over. If GDA wins it will take a few years to see if it's working. Expecting great results year 1 is unrealistic - there's too many good HS aged players who don't need GDA because they're recruited or half way there. USSF and clubs need to convince the younger players (pre HS) its worth their while then deliver on results.

Looks like all the talent moved over in the 03 group. 04 group will be single birth year next year and the rest of that talent will flee ECNL next year and also move over.

That was a really stupid comment and there are people who are now dumber as a result of reading your post

Sorry your DD got cut from ECNL and now that she's "made" the Thornz Asylum DA you think she's something special. Fact is, she's a loser on a team of losers.

No one is getting cut from the top fc and cu teams these days. They literally can't give away spots.

The top 03s bailed out FCP for GDA and even the starting goalie bailed for GPS.

Then where did all these great players go because they certainly didn't go to Thornz Asylum. That roster is horrendous.

And the stud GPS goalie went to CU. And the biggest club hopper of all went from CFC to FCP to Westside to Eugene to 4H to FCP ECNL to Thorns GDA. Your point? 'Tis the season to play musical chairs and watch the club hopping families earn their reputations. As the girls get older this slows down somewhat because the players get old enough and in many cases mature enough to advocate for themselves and tell their parents "enough." But enjoy watching the carousel with the younger teams and remember - club hoppers are always looking for someone or something else to blame (coach, league, travel, teammates) for their daughter's struggles and failures. Isn't that some excellent parenting?
