Maybe if you only plan on being with a club for a short while and when your kids are little. But if you're making a move to a club for what you hope will be longer, saying for your kid's entire HS and recruiting time period, you should make sure they're on solid financial footing. Are the directors getting paid an absurd amount of money? Also if a club is asking for "donations" families should know exactly where they're going.
If you're worried about your kids college viability that much it isn't the clubs finances that are their issue... its yours.
