There are currently Florida GDA players on their public high school and GDA club rosters at the same time. Time to call U.S. Soccer to report the players and clubs.

Official waivers are for private school only and have to get USSF approval.

Another way around it is to not put them on an official roster then add them after HS is done. This is an easy path in the parts of the US that have fall soccer. Here, clubs can get around it by listing a players as "part time" then add them later. DA allows for player add ons up until early April. It's a giant loophole that many take advantage of.

        Then there are
        1) the players who do it and hope they won't get caught. If they do the club can pretend to give them a slap on the wrist with little blowback to the club
        2) the clubs that give a wink and a "don't ask don't tell" tacit approval. They might get away with it if it's just a few players, but Fury publicly told everyone to go ahead. That's why they're done.

High school coaches know they are in the wrong. Look at what Max Preps high school player rosters are top secret so USDA can't track them.

HS coaches aren't obligated to follow DA rules; morally sketchy but not legally. It's up to the DA clubs to make sure their players are following the rules. And really it's ultimately up to the families who agreed to the terms of USSF when their kids joined. That's some great parenting when you teach your kids it's ok to cheat.

Us soccer completely missed on the high school ban.
Many GDA girls would play if they could.

It doesn't, they leave them on roster and look other way probably 15-20 kids doing it.

DA rules clearly state you are theirs from late August until your team stops playing early summer. Ten month commitment, including the quiet winter period. Most states don't have winter HS soccer anyway - it's nearly always fall or spring when DA is much busier. Trying to do DA + HS both full time is a recipe for burnout and injuries, and getting caught.

Shocking that Clay has 15-20 kids doing it during the winter break and Clay looks the other way. What high schools took in those kids after the DA showcase and are now winning high school games? USDA needs a consistent policy nation wide.

They are cheating because the GDA contract does not allow them to do high school soccer and they are to be taking a winter break and then going back to GDA practices in January.

Schools are coaches aren't required to follow USDA/pricey club soccer rules. As long as athletes are meeting whatever school, county or state requirements for participation that's all that matters to schools.

It starts first with parents who let (even encourage them to cheat). If that fails, then the clubs are supposed to step in and punish the players (they generally won't, a hand slap). Failing that, then DA has to step in. But for that to happen the issue and proof needs to be put in front of them. They don't have the resources to scour local news reports on HS games to see if FA players get mentioned.

Let me assure you, the Clay DA girls who are playing school soccer are not making thats sort of impact. Saying they are average would be generous.

High school coaches want to win more games to get a bid to the playoffs and they put the GDA players on the roster. The GDA players can not start practicing with the high school team until after the GDA showcase and should be back to the GDA roster after the winter break and not be able to do Playoff games.
