07 Girls ODP Selections

TBU has 8 players in ODP this year. Sunrise has 4. FESA has at least 3. FKK has at least 3.
PBG has at least 3. These numbers are for both Florida ODP 07 girls teams.

So there are at least 7-8 girls between both Florida teams? Are there any TBU coaches on these Fl ODP coaching staff? Clearly out of hundreds and hundreds of players that tried out for the ODP team how is possible that TBU had that many players good enough to make the teams. We have to come to the conclusion that either there are behind the scene TBU influence or bribery has corrupted the whole process.

Been that way for a while now. Coaches show preferences to players they know or who come with recommendations from coaching buddy. ODP is not what it was. It is not necessary when good players get all the exposure they need with ECNL and DA.

No but coaches on the FL ODP staff. Five of these eight (TBU) players were at other clubs (not TBU) last year. Also, this year that TBU 07 ecnl team is presently 1st in the SE conference of ENCL, so it's not too surprising that they would be well represented.

Yeah, they had no talent before he got them. He molded them into great players with his bare hands. I'm sure that if you ask the girls, they would have nothing but great things to say about this coaching legend.

People say RH should be the next DOC for WFF. He personally has developed all the great fundamentals that still show throughout the WFF GDA program. You could see signs of greatness in this weekends ODP vs WFF GDA games...I think the ODP team just scored again on the WFF GDA teams. Before you make any decisions on which club your going to send your girls to, I would first go see RH and his coaching style. You would be begging to signup right there. Go Flames

Florida A team won

Despite what you think of ODP and the selection process, Florida's A team beat Tennessee 1-0 in the finals. Florida A also beat Florida B in the semifinals 3-0. Looks like the evaluation process was a success.

Posters on ts alway claim Florida soccer is crap. It seem with the weekend result, other states have crappier soccer.

I love it when parents say ODP is water down blah blah blah...ODP should be a step up from their club because on the ODP team their is talent at every position. On your club team lets be honest there might be 5-6 really strong and committed players and the others are just floating by. The national ODP teams really showed their might against the DA and ECNL teams...All the pundits that trash ODP are truly parents of kids who didn't make the team or either didn't make the top 2 FL teams...Don't let your club coaches ego get in the way of you finding other avenues for your player to get better coaching and training.
