Whoever worries about U14 results is clueless. If CFC cared about results before 15 they would put true ECNL teams together at U12.

You're delusional if you think CFC doesn't care about results at U14. And even more delusional if you think they don't hate losing to FSA.

Plenty of broken windshields for cars parked within 30 yards of that field.

Who, the daddy coach who stunk at UMass and got canned?

            Cfc

This CFC 2006 united parents are comical. This team has been together forever. 15 came from arsenal. They have never done well in any season. Keep trying to build an ecnl team from
One CFC club and see what happens in a few years. The ct rush elite team has a ton more talent than that 2006 cfc team. And yankee and ginga are right there as well. None are afraid of that 2006 team.

Odds are cfc will get better over the years as top ct players have to drift towards the ecnl badge. But right now that team is a confused group of entitled parents that were deemed ecnl at u11 and they remain delusional. Most teams train very similar so there is no special training that is going to make them any better than anyone else. They either need to recruit the top players and athletes away from other clubs or they will continue to lose season after season. Some of the parents in that delusional group are In for a huge wake up call.

              Cfc

CFC parents trying to hold on to the the no one cares about results at u14 nonsense. Not saying ecnl isn’t the place to be but this team is very mediocre at best. They have one tie for the season and average less than a goal a game. And their big tie was to a scorpions team that was never all that competitive in their old npl league. Multiple losses to “regular” ct clubs in recent years. The only way this cfc team gets any better is to get some bigger more athletic kids. Some of these parents who think this group is college level talent is crazy. They are one of the smaller less athletic teams you will see at that level. Trying to “train” rich Garfield county kids into athletes. See how this plays out.

Seems to be playing out okay on the girls HS side - FCIAC best league in the State, and has won LL title often. This year likely as well.

CFCU not attracting the best talent is the likely problem. FSA, Ginga, OW, CT Rush, Yankee, NYSC and others all pushing hard to retain players that they have developed. Not much movement anymore. CFC system is being exposed - lack the ability to develop special talent.

Do the comical/delusional parents pick the team? I don't get it.
Shouldn't your beef be with CFCU coaches and their selection of players?

CFC is best at aggregating talent. Signing day is just around the corner and you'll see where all of these seniors are headed. Maybe half the group are kids that grew up at CFC but the rest came from Yankee, FSA, Oakwood and Ginga. Check the websites when those clubs release their commitments and let us know if you think those kids made a good decision or perhaps should have stayed with Ginga etc.

If you are a senior in high school and play at Ginga your next stop is college intramurals or a women's league after college.

Yes. CFC was lucky to get the ECNL badge, and they are milking it to the max. If they didn't have it, they would be exposed as the Walmart of CT soccer that they are. Ginga does a much better job of developing players.

I like Everson and what he's done, but any kid serious about soccer should be long gone from Ginga by U15. It's not a place for serious HS-age soccer.

If they had the ECNL badge, it would be a different story.

CFC dominated the state cup before ECNL was a thing. Some times sending 2 teams to the final. If CFC starts a true ECNL team at u12 then you can say that’s all they care about.

No outsiders showing up at tryouts, so not much to choose from to improve existing below average player pool.

There are delusional parents at every team at every age group, but this group may take the cake. At this age group this team can qualify for the ECNL playoffs. If you think parents and the club don't care about the results and whether this team qualifies, you're nuts. They do care, deeply, and this team ain't getting it done.
