The lights attract insects. The insects attract bats. What is wrong with bats? Doesn't Bethany have street lights, porch lights ..... ?

Who cares? It's the town's regulations, for whatever reason - neighbors, light pollution, whatever. Like someone said it's a limited issue for a few weeks in the fall and they have an entire indoor facility they can utilize.

ridiculous to have a turf field with no lights. soon it will be dark at 5:00 so useless during the weekdays

why to do people at below average clubs care what the best club in CT does? That is teh ridiculous part

Why “should” they be training outdoors? Why does it matter where a team trains exactly? As has been stated, they didn’t decide to build fields with no lights, they can’t do it per zoning regulations. They have an indoor facility and two outdoor fields on the same site. I wish my club could say the same...

Yes because if it's pouring rain or freezing, the outdoor practices are so beneficial!

Agree with above - it's pretty pathetic that someone keeps bashing them for having a facility. So few do.

Bethany doesn't allow lights because it confuses the sea turtles when they lay their eggs. They get attracted to the lights and can't find their way back to sea.

There's only a few clubs in the state that can control their own fields and have an option to go inside.

If you are all about fields, I highly recommend FSA. Soccer isn't great but hands down the best facility

and the tuition is very expensive too

Not best on boys side.
lots boys quit and npl players are filling open spots.
