Crossfire is also committing to provide significant financial resources to the program, ensuring there remains no financial barrier to participation, and that the club maintains its status as a national leader in youth development and the number one source of high-level*soccer players in*the Pacific Northwest.*
..... 😂 yeah right !!! I have heard some sales pitch bs in my time but this is straight out of the sleazy car salesman play book ! Yeah let’s pay for the international tournaments for kids that already have the means to go anyway ? Parents donations go a long way (and get you Into the first team)

adding Reign GDA and two more ECNL clubs, SU and Pac. They are desperate to keep the
ship together by offering free travel. How about keeping the roster to 18 instead of 25 before offering free travel?
Bernie, you should have taken the ECNL offer before they gave it to SU and Pac. So ironic.

Who do you think is paying for it ? It’s not crossfire ! It’s the bottom feeders in the 2/3/4/5 teams . It’s just elitist nonsense .

Hate to say it but a lot of the bigger clubs have the top players and teams essentially not paying a big portion of the fees. It's how they recruit top players to change clubs. Many upper level directors across the world just not in the USA believe in this. Essentially it's just like the college scholarship athlete. If you're good enough you dont pay. Right or wrong it's not going to change anytime soon.
Locally with so many clubs in the area playing ecnl on the girls side next year, I imagine you're going to see more of this to steal top girls from another club.

Sorry there is no other country in the world that has a pay to play milk the parent system . Maybe you consider Canada as the rest of the world ? Even they are not as extortionate as the American system . This is the only country on the world that has the system .

I think US Club has a recipe to compete against GDA with ECNL. We all saw this with some of the top clubs dropping out of GDA and "all in" for ECNL.
Crossfire is the top club in the area and still struggles to get players to do GDA. That should say something about GDA in general.

just mean idiotic parents, who deserve to get
fleeced out of their money. The girls are the victims
of this charade by Crossfire and the multi-leagues
and parents. Crossfire had the ECNL monopoly before
GDA, but no more. How is Crossfire going to
compete against the other ECNL clubs? Their
former reputation? Coaches? Fields? Free travel?
No, the club with the best coaches, soccer philosophy,
fields, leadership, and like minded parents will win the day.
The end goal for 99.999% of us has ALWAYS been about college
and hopefully, scholarships. US Soccer can have their $15 a hr
dream.

The goal for us parents is a college scholarship? Are you serious. The goal is for our kids to love a sport and have a passion for it. As a parent, you shouldn’t even start thinking about the future of playing in college until your kid is a sophomore. You will absolutely turn your kids off if you are shoving the college thing down their throat any earlier. I remember playing u9 for my kids in a tournament and hearing crossfire parents talking about their u9 kids college crap already. It’s disgusting. Just support your kids in their passions and help them succeed without being the one that’s pushing them constantly to be better. And if they want the extra training or classes than it needs to come from them. And for god sakes stop living your unfulfilled dreams through your kids.

The soccer talent in this state is so diluted, especially in GDA and ECNL. Look at the standings from both leagues for WA state teams and it’s clear not one club is head and shoulders above the rest.
