Fear of not being believed, fear of having to relive the trauma, even fear for their physical safety if threats are made. Even more never report at all. Dr Ford is in hiding because of death threats against her. And why should she be in the public spotlight any longer? She testified and she probably wants to return to her old life. Just because you were in the public eye for a short time doesn't require you to remain so.
