There wasn’t even a question. Top 20 teams in the country were in the DA. USYS has enough to dilute Ecnl even more. It’s one tournament. Just look at the best team in their Ecnl conference. Went from first to last all in one year...Why was it that way in all of the other conferences?
They don’t need more players but you cu people alwYs seem to leave out the important details.

You would be then accountable to false narratives that your club is the only one develop best or the lack of actual development in flying to sit or flying to get a mediocre experience. If you claim to be the best in the country refuse to prove it to prospective players or families around you, you are hiding on an excuse. The top teams in da Ecnl USYS in OREGON are all mixed across the board on who is likely the best or better team. And if anyone tells you that their club would be best in every age group if they all played each other they are lying to you. No knowledgeable coach would say otherwise. College coaches are getting players from everywhere.
McDonald would be more then happy if you never tried a Whopper. The game would point out quality players on all the teams and the most consistent trend in Oregon history is that not one girls club always had the best teams or players and they all had ups and Downs.
I recruit players from all the clubs and all of the top 3-4 teams in the state will have majority or all of their players go to colleges that are all different levels with 1-2 more players who choose to go d1. Remember someone can walk on to a D1 school and still sign a letter of intent and no one has to share the amount. Some on every team just decide not to play in college. No club is exempt from that either and all lose some along the way.
You will also have a handful of players from teams 4-7 with sometimes 1-5 college commits, again from different levels. Some times players switch clubs so you actually don’t know where they were developed. Some change simply for the experience of it all.
It’s very suspected that salmon creek 00 would have destroyed fc Portland and crossfire Oregon’s team. Westside 00 in their height could have shown well. Thorns who knows but it would be interesting as they talked about having the best of everything much like cu and Fc Portland
CU had a good 01s team and while fc Portland Ecnl was weak at this age, they still tried to float on the assumption they were best by association. Again, still not playing anyone including the thorns who had a good 01/02 combination which would probably have beaten cu 01 but that’s speculation.
A Eastside CU WASH T FCP ThOrns 02 would be a good tournament. All teams have evidence they could beat each other.
EASTSIde CU Thorns wash t 04 tournament would be good with evidence they could all beat each other.
You can assume or guess whatever you want but ZERO college coach in the NW is going to go to one team and one team only. They are not going to get players in a 4 year span from one club and one club only. Outside of the nw it’s wide open with players going to different places.
There is nothing more ludicrous then avoiding your nearest competition other then trying to control the narrative.
You can drive to Washington to beat an Ecnl team that beat your local Ecnl neighbor or be in the da and fly to play a random club that is said to be good but no one really knows because there is little point of reference. The players that go to said club are not looking any better but they are announcing elite or best as well so who knows.
You ask your club if they are better then the next club and they will respond with why a team or club that is much better than anyone in this state and rarely get to play them if they do at all to justify their position.
Oregon would rarely if ever have a top 30 team in the country if every A team were in the same league. In some age groups it would be anywhere from 50-200 And no. Your kid or team isn’t on a top 30 now. Even then, it doesn’t matter as much if you can’t beat your neighbor who might have beat everyone around you.
Does it matter? Only if you want the most information. Sometimes people don’t care. No other country goes through greater lengths to avoid playing each other in youth soccer then in the US. None. It’s complete nonsense. Also no other country goes to greater lengths than to make money off of youth soccer then America.
