      FSA Misinformation

Let's start the votes , bigger FSA scum bag SD club or SD arena ?

The REAL problem with FSA is communication

You never know with FSA do you? The communication is nowhere to be found. Why is that? Have the coaches not been told anything? Have the coaches been told to keep their mouths shut? They don't have team managers and they never tell the parents anything so people just start rumors or come on here to speculate. Im sure someone from the club sees these posts, if they didn't want this stuff said all they had to do was get out in front of the tidal wave and inform their families. how hard is that?

FSA could have avoided this whole thread if they simply communicated with their families.
        It is that simple

We are in the second week of June, the season is usually over by now. Tryout dates have usually past, all the last games have been played and families have planned their summer. They can't wait around for an update from the club. They should have gotten the message out a long time ago.

What can they put out now that the season is over? Nothing will replace the fact that the entire Spring was lost.

Don't be fools people, you keep waiting around for what? Your expectations are just too high, FSA doesn't care about you - AND EVEN IF THEY DID, THEY WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME TELLING YOU SO!

FSA blatantly lied with the email they sent out saying they had paid the coaches during the shutdown.

Then they say they are calculating refunds two weeks ago, but won’t announce them until you sign up for next year.

I agree their communication is terrible, people would prefer honesty over deception. Everyone knows what the MO is. Give as little back as possible by offering summer training which nobody wants vs refund.

I see class action lawsuits in their future

Lets put this in perspective. TS is not a platform any club is concerned with. There about 30 people in CT that view this site consistently. 5-10 might be parents or club employees from FSA. The majority are from CFC. Your message is falling on deaf ears here and will not impact anything or anyone's decision making both FSA management or parents alike.

Ask OW parents how a $250 or even a $200 credit sounds.

FSA FC Update June 12, 2020

                  Hello Parents and Players,

We are very optimistic that we will begin FSA FC training the week of June 22, 2020. While the state guidelines continue to change allowing for larger group gatherings, we are still planning to resume training following strict social distancing guidelines. The health and safety of our players and staff will be our priority as we welcome players back to the field. Players will train for the first few weeks in individual grids designed to maintain social distancing. This will be referred to as Phase 1 with the focus on agility, fitness, technical and functional training.

We will need the full cooperation of staff, coaches, players and parents to ensure the safety of all participants. Please see the preliminary list of guidelines below in preparation for June 22.

                  Prior to Arriving at FSA

Coaches, Players, Parents must stay home if sick or experiencing any COVID-19 Symptoms
If a player has COVID-19 symptoms or has been in contact with a person with symptoms, in addition to staying home, please notify your coach and Club Admin immediately by email: clubadmin@fsafcunited.com
Daily Health Check: Parents/Guardians are responsible for monitoring player temperature and symptoms prior to arrival. If players, parents, staff are not able to remain 6’ apart, a mask must be worn. This includes arrival, departure, and restroom use
All staff, parents and players must bring a mask or face covering that completely covers the nose and mouth if needed while at FSA
Per ECNL and state guidelines, masks are not recommended during training
                  Arrival and Departure from Facility

All parents/players will be provided with specific instructions for drop off and pick up based on the location of the training field. This will be available next week. Signs will be posted to help with new facility protocol.
Parents will drop off players no more than 5-10 minutes prior to the designated training time. Players driving may arrive 5-10 minutes prior to training. There will be a very limited amount of parking. Social distancing guidelines must be followed, 6 feet apart or mask/face covering must be worn
Parents will not be allowed on the fields to ensure the safety of our players and staff. If parents remain at the facility, they are required to stay in their individual vehicle to avoid group gatherings. Face masks should be worn.
Parents must pick up players immediately at of the end of training and exit the facility.
Training times will be staggered to allow for social distancing; however, players are encouraged to wear a mask to and from the field if social distance protocol can’t be followed.
                  On Field Training

Players will keep their backpack in their personal grid on the field
Players will wear cleats to the field limiting extra gear.
Players will bring a properly inflated soccer ball, water bottle and personal hand sanitizer to training
Players will be provided with 6 cones for personal use at training. Players are responsible to bringing them to each training session. We will not have “extra” equipment to provide to players. Please be prepared for each session
The session will be 1 hour and 15 minutes in duration
All training will be conducted in a “personal” grid for Phase 1. Additional phases are outlined below.
Coaches will have a walkway between grids to maintain distance from players
During the first phase, goalkeepers will train in the grid as a field player until guidelines allow for use of hands and sharing of equipment.
                  General Facility Guidelines

Signage will be posted with reminders about new protocol
FSA FC Phases – Subject to change based on league, state and CDC guidelines

Phase 1 – Player training in individual grids

Phase 2 – Team/Player Training with activities in shared grids

                  Phase 3 – Team/Inter-squad scrimmages

Phase 4 – Full Game play

                  Registration for 2020-21

All players should receive a registration in the next few days. Instructions to complete the required steps will be provided in the email.

A safe return to play is our goal. Most of our players have not participated in structured physical activity since March. We will offer a progressive return to play taking into consideration fitness and skill development. This is a very exciting time for the players to get back to playing the game they love with their teammates. Parents, please take a minute, prior to arrival at the facility to review policies and remind players that their health and safety is the main concern.

We will continue to update you prior to June 22, 2020.

WE CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THAT YOUR COMPLETE COOPERATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO GET BACK ON THE FIELD AND REMAIN THERE FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON.

We look forward to seeing everyone!

                  Sal

FSA could have capitalized on this shutdown (FC Stars have shown leadership)
                        Instead
FSA lack any and all ability to be LEADERS

So when these training sessions start back up next week, each player along with his/her backpack will have their own space marked off by 6 cones supplied by the club. The player stays in that personal space? No interaction with other players?

Why go through all that trouble and risk exposure to everyone if there is no interaction with other players?
Why not just do those sessions remotely in each players' back yard?
Why is there a need to do that at the facility?
How long is that first phase?
1 or 2 weeks of small technical work inside a small grid by yourself?
Each player can get more accomplished by going to their local school and dribbling, hitting balls on their own.
I really don't see a benefit to doing this at FSA

Its not the owner's fault about working in small grids if that is all they can do but the problem is that you have to offer something to your families that they can't produce or make on their own, and players can do this on their own in their own yards. There is no need to go to FSA for this phase is there?

No business would survive if what they were trying to sell was either the same or possibly less than what the customer already had available at home.

Why would someone want to go to FSA with all the risks associated with doing so if they can do the same thing at home?

It is why people who have pools in their backyard, or weights in their basement don't go to the qym, because they have it all at home.
