Top College Womens Team in FL

Colleges like FGCU and USF among others have been pretty good lately. Over the last 5 years or so Rank FL’s best women’s college soccer teams. Use these D1 Schools based on Record, College ranking, Strength of Schedule, NCAA playoffs, College league and league performance. Head to Head but many of these schools wont play each other.

    FGCU
    UNF
    FIU
    FL State
    USF
    Florida
    USF
    Stetson
    Jacksonville
    UCF

I hate to say it, but isn't it clearly FSU above the others?

Too bad most, or not all of these programs Will be victims of Covid 19. When schools need to make cut backs, what non revenue sports will get the axe first? Soccer will definitely be the first. I hope these players have careers goals picked out.

We’ve seen already this isn’t the case. Due to Title IX, the men’s non-revenue sports are the ones suffering. Until a football team gets dropped, women’s sports will be safe.

How does the majority of these teams even be put on a list of best college teams in Florida. NCAA status doesn't mean they are good. Many of these teams can't get a .5 record. UM, FIU, JU, Stetson all teams which because of the D1 status get put on this list. Lynn another example of an awful NCAA team. Keiser National Champions would comfortably beat nearly all of those teams but get overlooked. Southeastern another NAIA school who could compete with these D1 schools. FSU, UF, USF only teams who can truly say they are D1 competitors.

FGCU regularly qualifies for the NCAA tournament

                      Totally agree.
Division 1 really means you have more students at the school. It really doesn't have a lot to do with quality.
You have some very good D2 schools who would beat 95% of the D1 schools.

NAIA schools Southeastern and Keiser are top notch who would beat 95% of the D1 schools.
Keiser is the NAIA national champion with players going to play in Europe, Swedish league and Spanish league.
Southeastern who made the semi-final in the National Championship Tournament had the last 4 years a player who played as a sub in the World Cup in France for Nigeria and is the all-time, scorer (boys and girls) in the country. She signed with Sevilla in the Spanish league.

Don't read to much into D1, D2 and NAIA. Find a program for your child what is a good fit with the Coach.

Very unfair to lump Miami into the list of “bad teams.” I mean they aren’t a top program, but their schedule is ridiculous playing UNC, FSU, Virginia, Clemson, and Duke every year. Throw in the middle of the ACC teams and then Vandy, UCF, UF out of conference....they’re aren’t many lay up games on the schedule.

They beat FSU in 2018, the year they won the National Championship.

Title IX will not allow these programs to be cut. Womens sports like soccer and others must be in place to meet the title IX policy. As long as these schools maintain their football programs all is good! Educate yourself.

School Presidents know who is the straw that stirs the drink.

There WILL be NCAA football this Fall. The facade of the “necessary lockdown” is broken. We are not going back!

Simply not true: Most of what you said above is simply false. The best players year after year choose to D1 Schools and the rest of the top players with high academics choose D1 schools like Ivy League and High academic schools in PAC12, Big 12, WAC, ACC and SEC. You may have a few players that choose D2 but those schools typically benefit by over recruiting and kids are transferring to those schools. The main reasons most women play Division 1 soccer includes the following:
                              1) Great Educational institutions.
                              2) Top noitch training facilities
                              3) Educational resources including Facilities and people(Student educational centers)
                              4) Sports medicine facilities / resources when injuries occur
                              5) Housing Facilities
                              6) Atmosphere (College experience)
                              7) Travel accommodations (1st Class)
                              8) I could continue up to 20 reasons easy. Those are just a few. Top International kids are choosing these top schools also.

Nobody is choosing Kaiser over Michigan, UCLA, Duke, Vandy Arizona, Washington, Pepperdine, Utah, Ohio State, Penn State, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, West VA, Baylor, TX, and OK. GET REAL with your stupidness!
