I agree. UNC HC and NC asst (also unc asst) strongly suggested that all the UNC freshmen that first gda yr and last give up hs and play in GDA ( even if not with NC courage). And they did. UNC made NCAA finals both yrs and underclassman (soph and fresh) played big roles. So it worked it seems.
This club yr they did not insist on GDA.
Now that AD has pipeline from England they probably don't care as much.
And? What is your point? Is it also being suggested that in 2 years GDA made UNC super competitive? Haven't they always been? Didn't nearly every single one of those girls play ECNL before GDA? Get a grip. GDA conferences vary so widely in quality and the northeast, none of it is high quality after all of the ECNL kids that went to NYCFC were then dispatched.
Truth - To many poor quality clubs like Bucks, take the elite out of Elite clubs national league.
ECNL has become completely watered down.
false. FC Bucks are mess at this point, but the standard of the league is far better than other leagues. The bottom clubs in the ECNL are still better than anything outside of the ECNL, other than DA clubs.

Well, unless you count Real NJ and all of the clubs, like them, that can and does beat the bottom HALF of the ECNL or GDA ... would do it more often, but neither of the big girl clubs like to play anyone outside of their fun house .... the smoke and mirrors wont work anywhere else if they did play outsiders.

Real NJ are only as good as the kids from team to team and year to year. Real NJ are not a club. They are a good fit for rec level travel leagues, and there is nothing wrong with that, but they will never be on an ECNL or DA level as a CLUB.
Why all the hate for PAC/PF? PF used to be in ECNL, just like the ones that left and went back. Also, why wouldn't they be allowed back in? Makes no sense. A top 100 club wouldn't be allowed back? Maybe they don't want to go back.

It's not hate. PF had to fight to get into ECNL, and after allowing them in, they bail on the league. If another club in EPA could get their act together it's possible they could get in, but I doubt PF will get another chance.

One of the few consistent clubs that could challenge PDA dominance.

PDA and Stars of MA are the top two clubs and NEFC a close third. PF was just another club in the ECNL at the time.
Nothing wrong with PA Classics, but as long as the boys stay in the DA the girls will as well. The DA on the boys side isn't in trouble, clubs not looking to leave.

You have no soccer history. PF was an original ECNL member. No fighting to get in. And PF was successful. My kid's teams made post season including championship bracket every season.
ECNL was not happy when PF as an original member said we are going GDA.
They would happily accept them back as the boys are ECNL now.
But PF may be happy right where they are. They don't seem to be lacking in getting kids to D1 programs. And they actually play too.
