Lol true. Many are also sports for the wealthy also. They're making them club sports. Brown is also perennial underperformed in athletics.

It's easier for the Ivies and D3s to make tesm cuts. It gets more complicated with D1 athletic scholarships. Only P5 had 4 year guarantees. Most of the rest were year to year, but is it fair to cut off athletic funding half way through a college career? U Cincinnati said they would honor their scholarships but I wonder if other schools will

Students get out of their education what they put into like everything else. If they are complacent with what an hour a day education provides them than so be it.

Israel re opened schools two weeks ago, kids and teachers with masks, and they're already seeing school outbreaks.
Yeah and it's hot in Israel so there goes the hot weather theory.

I must because you are not smart enough to read and understand the scientific studies behind it.

The education minister, Yoav Gallant, argued that the overall number of virus cases in Israeli schools remains low and closing them all would not be justified.

53% of the 244 total school cases are from 1 school.
This is not a big deal

"At least 42 kindergartens and schools have been shuttered indefinitely. More than 6,800 students and teachers are in home quarantine by government order...The education minister, Yoav Gallant, argued that the overall number of virus cases in Israeli schools remains low and closing them all would not be justified."

Shows re-opening isn't as easy as people think it will be. There will have to be school by school case management to help keep numbers down at local schools/local communities. That makes competitive school sports less likely as administrators want to reduce the chances that students pick it up somewhere else. Your team plays another team that has a few positive cases a few days later? Do you quarantine YOUR team then?
