This person bashes Disney every change. I can guess that their child didn't get accepted to the Showcase. Quit bitching about about the price, admission, walking distance..... You and your team chose to go to the tournament if you were accept. Or just don't go if you can't afford it. You loser

How is that bashing? It's stating the fact that the tournament is stay to play and the system can't be gamed as had been suggested.

Ummm....parents don't have to go. The player can go with willing teammates that will help on the cost. That is very realistic!

"Willing teammates that will help on the cost"? We have love on our team but not that much love. Not many in position to provide $$$ for another's child.

It is not that simple. There can be a lot of pressure to attend (and obviously finance) tournaments. Family that may struggle to pay for it cannot just override those on the team that can and it is a tricky business to discuss the $$$ side.

Some on my kid's team have definitely had to make cheaper arrangements outside of the the approved tournament hotels. It has never been a problem so far with the tournament or the team.
