Help complete my list of poster types on Talking Soccer
1. The expert - this is the guy that thinks he knows everything about the game. Loves to argue and establish his authority on subjects of interest.
2. Mr. Innocent - Comes on to the board thinking that this site is educational. You often see them looking for clubs, asking uninformed questions and the like. This person typically gets a quick education on his audience.
3. Start a new thread guy - This is the guy that starts threads trying to find that golden subject never talked about before, not knowing that the very same topic sits in the thread graveyard in archive.
4. The troll - This is the most vile poster, the one that finds amusement and fulfillment in starting arguments, talking about clubs, teams, players, etc. There is no boundary for these starved of attention individuals.
5. The grammar guy - This is the guy in an argument that does a grammar review of a competing poster and tries to find a grammatical, spelling or other error to win the argument.
6. Fix U.S. soccer guy - This is the guy that is ready to assume the presidency of US Soccer, who knows exactly what needs to be done to fix a broken system. They have put minutes of thought into this, and clearly their resume should be at the top in the selection process.
7. Parent - This is the mom or dad that is ready at all cost to defend their team and players on this site. Not aware that they're being played by trolls and experts, they jump in to stop the current subject from expanding. Sometimes, they even list the club they represent, like it adds some sort of credibility.
8. Peacemaker - This is the one that has no relation to the club, team, and perhaps even to soccer, but they feel the need to bring calm, by bringing what they feel is common sense to the argument.
9. The top leaguer - This is a big one. Every other league other than the one their son/daughter are playing in is rec. They touted ECNL for years until their new friend, DA, came along. These folks feel the need to feel superior to other leagues, clubs, players and families. Money is no object. It's all about sending their kids to colleges of their choice, not the kids', because it's all about D1 and the NT.
10. Complainer - Lots of these posters on here about teams, coaches, leagues, refereeing, threads, and an endless array of subjects.
11. The "I'm above this" poster - This is the guy that doesn't belong on here but somehow got enticed by the commentary to post. They're not sick like us but are posting during prime work hours.
12. The overnight poster - This is the one who is up at 3 in the morning posting on meaningless subject. This person either drinks heavily and comes in at the wee hours of the morning, suffering from insomnia, or found a new so-thought anonymous addiction.
