How about the girl from Wilton who is the most capped (man or woman) in the history of the game? She played in 5 World Cups!

Great player different time for the sport
But even with her and AN thats 2 in 30 years. Think about how many players have been thru the pools in 30 years

She finished her NT career 8 years ago...different time? Pele played in a different time as well....and still considered the best player who ever played the game.

Does CFC not allow players to "play up" ....if so, seems foolish.

People are being respectful of kid's college choices. There are D2 and D3 schools that you can get into with a GED and Rec soccer background. Certainly not what you would expect from prestigious academy program. Also, Holy Cross is a great school but basically has no athletic money.

Several players at both clubs have nothing listed. Other than UNC none are top soccer programs. Could players have achieved similar results playing elsewhere? Can't say as you can't go back in time. But if you follow that MA commitment thread you see that many non DA players land at good scools .
                    A slight edge in WHAT?

What makes a TOP soccer program?

What results are you talking about here?

So she should have been allowed to play up, simply because she requested to do so?

Yeah, so what's your point here?

Is there some kind of requirement that academy graduates have to play in a "prestigious" soccer program? Is that supposed to be a reflection on the club in some way? How and why is that even relevant? What is a "prestigious" soccer program anyways?

                            Let it go chief.

The Oakwood boys list is pedestrian. For all of the grandstanding elitist commentary, tireless twitter and social media posts, the end product simply isn't great.

With the exception of the kid going to PC, there's little to no athletic money here and we all know it.

Won’t be the most pedestrian. Just watch the girls list this year and the next few......my daughters hs soccer team had more talent

If she is good enough, she is old enough.
