It is divided by geography rather than skill level. Try out for the one most convenient for your family.

Not necessarily true. They tend to usher the better players to the South branch, but if logistics is too much than it goes by geography.

As for coaching, the South branch is head and shoulders above North. Many issues with younger North coach via parents and players. Coaches have no significant experience at north branch, while south are experienced BS coaches.

Overall South is much better than North and North isn't worth high price tag.

Has North played against South? Or have they managed to avoid that bit of unpleasantness? Lol.

I'm sure they've at least scrimmaged. Families had to sign a non disclosure agreement lol

South trains in stamford, north in stratford. So they cover a lot of geography.

nope. they train together in the winter and scrimmages are mixed. they have never played each other directly as a full team. this applies to 08 and 07 teams. they are entered in different groups in tournaments. they have played against the same opponent and had mixed results. on day north beats a team and some other day south loses to that same team. on other occasions south beats a team that north loses to. talent wise, i think the teams are fairly close. the big difference is both teams are VERY inconsistent. one day they look like an organized well coached and highly technical squad while the next day it looks like BS grabbed some random kids off the street and asked them to go play soccer. i see it as more of a coaching issue than a talent issue. the one negative that everyone seems to agree on is that some of the 07 north parents are cray cray. 08 not so much. then again, my son's travel team had parents who literally had to be escorted off the field by police at one of the games, so i think every team in CT has at least 1 crazy parent. must be in the water.

Maybe they’re inconsistent because they are mostly 9 and 10 year old boys. “Highly organized and highly technical”? I love u-little parents so much! Especially u-little parents from BS. You bring cray cray to a whole new level.

ulittle parents are so cute. By high school some won't be playing soccer at all, there will be at least 50% turnover by then, and the best players will have moved to DA/MLS
