East Meadow Soccer Club on Long Island was one of the first clubs to receive GDA. Once EMSC realized they couldn't field ECNL and GDA teams (primarily because they were losing a slew of top players to Fury) they bowed out of GDA but "bestowed" (their word) their GDA acceptance to LISC-a non-existent club with no players, no fields, no trainers and no history, with USSF's blessing. USSF was not willing to allow GDA to have 1 club in the LI market while ECNL had 2 clubs in the LI market!!!
If you think USSF will not permit the same with Breakers and NEFC (a club that's already a year into GDA), think again! USSF is not going to risk losing the market share, especially when FC Stars is only half-heartedly partaking in the GDA experiment.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI agree that NEFC will get it, but they will likely have to put in their application. That is assuming Breakers collapses, which I am not convinced of. See, that's how you explain things without trying to slam other clubs. It's pretty easy to drop the agenda and state the facts.

It literally formed out of thin air when EMSC declined their acceptance to GDA. They did not apply to GDA because they did not exist. USSF was fine with EMSC "bestowing" their GDA acceptance to this non-existent club with no registered players, no fields and no trainers. Sight unseen. Period.

Just a question I would assume the owner of the club Boston what ever owner the rights to GDA right? If the senior to team fials does that mean the youth team will? Can the owners still run the youth system?
