I don’t completely agree. Vale has decent numbers, they just don’t have quality. They have raided small town programs like H-K who are now on life support. Most of their players should be playing town soccer. Academica was average when they were based in Cheshire. Since they were thrown out of Cheshire they have gotten smaller and weaker every year. I am very curious to see how many Academica players walk through the Vale doors. Not many is my guess.

      Thanks for the warning Goran.

Goran could give a f#%* about Vale. Since they divorced Vale has been the clear #2. Vale has that crappy albatross they call an indoor facility tied around their neck with a monthly mortgage. That is a huge burden. They have to keep feeding the monster and are desperate to get numbers through the door. They will limp along like Academica did for several years and then collapse.

Resulting in this AFC collapse and Cheshire's mediocre pop-up premier program. Too bad the two sides couldn't have worked things out for the betterment of both parties. Never got a clear story on what happened behind the scenes, so assumption is that both parties are to blame. Another example of adults ruining youth programs.

Town premier is a fool's game. Has that ever ended well?

Shelton has done a pretty good job with town premier

Shelton is okay. Not really able to compete with real clubs though. Coaching is mediocre with parent coaches and volunteer involvement and there isn’t any real quality training.

Trumbull is a better example of a successful town premier program. They have the ability to offer all the extra training and programs and playing opportunities year round with being out of InSports.

Is AFC Ajax FC or Academica FC?

Might have something to do with the CJSA take over of CCSL. Pretty sure AFC was in CJSA and Vale was in CCSL.

You are definitely not from this area. Have you heard of JJ? He has been fired from many soccer organizations for his bad conduct with teams and players, ask Ole soccer, Omar, and others or simply ask the Portuguese community and they will give you a good idea of this guy.
My daughter played for him and all parents and players heated him. He started the Trumbull premier and all kids left to real premier teams.
Sorry but not a good example

I know Jamie, and have heard all the bad things but I’ve always had a good experience with him and his programs. The Trumbull premier program has better resources, more training, and a bigger talent pool. You may not be a fan because of issues you had with Jamie, but if you compare them objectively their program is superior to Shelton’s. I think they’re a good example of town premiere being successful based on objective measurements of quality and things you want from a club.
