Give the OW/BS crowd a break. They play NYCFC, Red Bulls, and Revs. Who else are they supposed to play in the mls without ridiculous travel?

And if 2-3 OW/BS kids get picked up by an pro academy along the way, that's somehow a negative for OW/Beachside? No, that's how it should be.

Once relieved if the small amounts of talent that they have, these farm clubs will be dropped with no restitution. Not how it is supposed to be. The walmarts should not be raiding all of the boutiques. When all of the boutiques are gone, all of the fashion will be different colors of burlap, none of which fits anyone.

They also would be playing Toronto and Montreal if Covid travel wasn’t an issue (Northeast Division).

I don't think any OW parents (OK maybe a few ulittle nutjobs) think OW is a better program than a free pro academy. OW has it's faults but there's not a better boys program in CT at the older ages. Aside from residency, relocating or a soul crushing commute, this is the best option. Being able to compete with mls academies and the exposure that comes with that is significant. For some that is their ticket to a pro academy and there's no shame in that for OW.

It seems some on this site want to tear everyone down for not being world class talents. I get that TS is entertainment and trolls but you'd think that these jokers would get bored of doing that after a while. I'm guessing there's some deep resentment and subconscious self-loathing at play here.

If that’s the case MK wouldn’t of dropped his NYCFC affiliation. Only reason he dropped it was because he was tired of his best players leaving. That IS the way it’s supposed to be but the man is greedy and pompous so he doesn’t want anyone leaving anywhere that will better themselves. Same goes for his coaches.

Doesn't matter - the better players will leave with or without an affiliation.

How many MLS players came from CT in the last ten years and how many stayed with OW or BS during their HS years? Both clubs don't even get all their players recruited to college and some programs you can get recruited without the demands of BDA

OW boys played the revs last weekend but no scores to be found. I'm assuming the Revs crushed them and now there's radio silence. Any Beachside scores from week 2 of mls next?

If you’re not involved why do you care?
If you care that much, use Google.
Oakwood u19 beat Revs 1-0, tied them at u17. I guess your theory was wrong. How did your kids FSA C team do?

Revs could be the worst MLS academy in the country, but better than losing for sure.

Seriously. *** is wrong with some of you? You are grown ***** adults and you are fixated on how other kids at other clubs are performing.

There is NO need to b*tch and moan about every club in the country. Each club has its pros and cons. Find one that makes you and your family happy. Grow up and focus on your own kids. Enjoy these soccer years now because soon they will be gone.

It is a soccer board. Besides the BS political posts people do want to talk about ⚽️ . Much of it is entertainment anyway. Maybe you should relax more?
