Mid Sept is when the clubs are aiming for the first games but need final permission from MA. We should be good with MA and into phase 4 by Aug 29. As of last week we were told our RI players on NEFC could not practice in MA. We are hoping this changes by mid-week next week. It will come together over the next few weeks and we need to be patient although the Cancel Culture wants to cancel our town travel league and only offer rec which would be a mistake for those competitive players. Other town competitive teams already practicing and finalized rosters. Out town is being ridiculous.

Sounds like Berlin Wall type of stuff. WE are free to leave

Those are currently the rules and the exceptions for RI residents entering MA. If you are caught without those exceptions, without a Covid test, and not quarantining, it's a $500/day fine.
Free country, but only if you can afford it.

The current restrictions are teams must practice and play in RI, CT, NY but not in MA although some clubs claimed they can practice in MA... who knows. Baker expected to lift the ban in a week but he’s power hungry and likes to push Gina down. So a tournament has to happen in RI but now the second problem we have to be in phase4 for soccer tournaments which won’t be until mid Sept. clubs will be playing then and hoping for the towns. I don’t see when bayside could squeeze in a tournament until thanksgiving week.

um... newsflash, kids AND parents don't care about this. This is a coach issue - parents just want to see some games and kids just want to play.

So you do know nothing is normal right now? Lots of new teams gelling, other kids getting back into shape, new coaches, and going from small sided practices and agility to suddenly playing full field. Give each other a break. No need to boast or put down let’s just give the kids soccer. Lucky to have NH because RI and MA rules suck right now.
I hope Bayside classic tournament happens this fall, Thanksgiving weekend would be a lot of fun since Columbus Day already booking up.

Boys U11: Bayside beat RI Surf 3-1 in final (but RI Surf's better team at that age stayed home)
Boys U12: No Surf team entered
Boys U13: No Bayside team entered
Boys U14: No Bayside team entered
Boys U15: No Bayside team entered
Girls U11: Bayside (Strikers) made the final over RI Surf, but they tied head-to-head in the group (should I also mention the other Bayside team in that division? The one that lost all three games, including one against NE Surf?)
Girls U12: Bayside in final; RI Surf did not do well
Girls U12 (Championship): RI Surf finished second in their group; Bayside lsot all three in their group
Girls U13: NE Surf beat Bayside 2-0
Girls U14: NE Surf v RI Surf in final; Bayside team only won one (but it WAS against the RI Surf team)
Girls U14 (League 1): Bayside in finals vs. Seacoast (so they beat a NE Surf team)
Girls U15: No head-to-head
