So is it a business or a non profit? Do you pay for services at a non profit? No one at St. Vicent's food pantry is paying for a meal. The nuns and priest are not getting per diem from the homeless people. The funds comes from the organization. If we are paying for a service then you are a business using the loopholes in the law and the kids to avoid paying taxes.

Do you think that parent gets preferential treatment? Absolutely! This is the problem though, guys like Luis Mendoza actually get a percentage of the charitable donations that come into the club. The 1.1 million donation was brought in by Mendoza and he received roughly 20% of that donation on top of his salary.

There are many parents within Weston who own corporations and donate to the club. Some are dropping anywhere from 20k-50k and you guest it, they get preferential treatment. Nothing is illegal with with Weston FC receiving charitable donations. It just seems unethical when its coming from parents within the club and it creates and unfair situation for other players. Weston FC is pretty much just a rich country club that is lead by money hungry control freaks.
Wow with donations like that you would think they could come up with plenty of field space. But they can’t. They can’t even practice for 4 weeks in late December and early January. So Mickey Mouse, and they call themselves a premier soccer club.

Parents at weston are so dumba mutua. For a million, 25k, or 50k they can send their kids across the pond for the summer for some proper training. Some people have more money then sense. What is the ol saying? There is a sucker soccer parent born every day.

It's a illness with the mls parents. The egos keep bringing them back every year even if the kid is not developing or getting any better . You comment speaks to much truth for them to comprehend.

These so called donations are public record. All you need to do.is take 2 seconds and look it up. But why let facts get in the way of a good story right..

I heard Mendoza is a all about that money and avoids interacting with parents. He secretly has dinner at the homes of the wealthy ones and the ones who have connections he wants to take advantage of.

Corruption is bound to happen when Weston FC is taking donations from parents. At that point the club has put themselves in a position where the parent runs the show. If Luis is the fat cat collecting a percentage of the charitable donations then he has been compromised and is going to be biased.

Joel Osteen knows the answer behind his creepy little grin.

So did Weston FC! They are just selling dreams, and transferring $ to Inter Miami begging for forgiveness on all VP’s crimes.

The training sessions at Weston FC has been horrible. The DOC for the premier side literally sent a text to a coach saying the club does not care about the younger age groups and to do whatever to keep the parents happy. How can the leader of the U8-U12 say such a thing and he is the person in charge of the kids development. My experience with the club has been awful and on top of it, my sons coach keeps messaging me privately. FML!

Weston has never cared about the younger kids; they know they have inferior coaches. They used to get by because of recruiting, they had DA. so many other parents would come and try and join because the top team was good and they thought it was the program and coaching. Now they know it’s not. kids are leaving for better coaching. Weston used to have multiple good teams, now they are lucky if they can have one.

Weston has NEVER developed players. They depended on the DA status for years to attract talent. All these years they have taken credit for players that other clubs developed. Without MLS Next status they would be equivalent to any other club in the area.
