These are just more posters that feel that's it's necessary to try and put down GA clubs in a roundabout way while saying how much better the ECNL is. Unless your daughter plays for PDA North Blue then every GA and ECNL club in NJ is interchangeable.
    Thank you!!! Spot on.

Can't speak for the other former DA turned GA clubs but I can say the difference for SJEB is noticeable. Before DA they did the traditional 2 days a week extra for winter and mostly local EDP tournaments. Since DA they have gone to 3 days minimum while also working on soccer IQ and game analysis, strength and agility training and winter indoor and futsal training is included. May not see much difference with the upper teams like the 06, 05, 04s but the 07s and lower hold their own against some traditionally strong academies.

So the move did motivate one club to offer more so I guess that is good for what it's worth.

Only thing suffering was the pockets of the big ECNL clubs. But it's the world we live in I suppose, lots of voting against interests going on.

At many clubs it wasn't much of a price value improvement over ECNL and plenty of GDA rosters were stuffed also. We all know some clubs were bad so training one day more a week isn't necessarily a big assist. Yes ECNL has bad clubs too so families have to chose based on their options. For some letting their kids play HDS was also a big factor

No one is cheering but much of this was all predicted early on. Covid just sped it up. The players are the ones let down by adults

GDA also had no drivable events for moat clubs, were a day longer and usually not wrapped around a holiday weekend. More expenses and time off school and work

We traveled to VA last weekend for one freaking game against poor competition (EDP Div 3 like). 12 hours spent in total on one game, and of course with implications from a Covid quarantine perspective. I don’t understand why they just can’t reschedule the game for a later date, just plain desperate to get it in.

Only GA scheduled games for the last 2 weeks to VA were SJEB v Arlington and it was postponed. So what team where you with that went? Considering NJ USYS isn't covering insurance for games outside of NJ, PA, DE and NY.

SJEB v Arlington got postponed because Arlington probably wants to bail to ECNL now!

They traveled from Monmouth to Northern Virginia for one league game? Hopefully that was just the older GA age groups.

Well worth the trip to play mighty Metro United...how does a club like that even get into GA? Most of their teams would not even be that competitive in EDP.
