Those are facts Jack. Sorry if the truth hurts and does not support your radical agenda to turn the U.S. into Venezuela. Who is the sheep? How do you have time to turn off CNN to come post your drivel here?

The radicals that seek to seize power and destroy the country do not appreciate the numbers put in context that does not scare the population into submission. Just fake news after fake news. And the scary part is that our country has some many woke radicals dumb enough to fall for it. They just want to be told how to think by fake news media and to get everything to be for free and those with more wealth to pay for it. That is their solution for everything but especially 'buying votes' to create a system where citizens NEED them and the government in your daily lives. This is why they hate American and want to erase history like ISIS did.

Hold on... I never realized this... so wearing a cloth nose and mouth covering is how we turn into Venezuela? And to think, I was more worried about efforts to demonize the media when critical to the government as Chavez did, the weaponizing of the department of justice against political opponents as Chavez did, the elevation of a cult of personality about the reaches of the law as Chavez did and the attempts to suppress oppositions votes. But I was worried about the wrong things this entire time. All of those are benign compared to wearing a cloth mask. My eyes have finally been opened. I have woken up. I am woke.

No, again such a fool.
How do we turn into Venezuela? Keep electing demonrats.
Keep giving away your rights, for the sake of “security”.
Keep giving away your right to bear arms.
Keep not speaking up for truth.
Keep getting your news from the fake news media who get their script from the same place.
Remember the freedom and values we cherish are only one generation away from extinction

Again your lack of understanding is AMAZING!
No one party is perfect and by electing one said party does not equate to us being better, we should always have checks and balances.
No one is going to take away your right to bear arms, basic scare tactics by the shepherds to lead the sheep.
Our current leadership has blatantly lied to the american people and has sacrificed americans for his own personal gain. Instead of draining the swamp it is now bursting at the seams with corruption.
No one should EVER get their news source from one source,EVER. CNN, FOX and MSNBC all lean a certain way. Learn to decipher the BS.
Our current president has done more to circumvent our constitution than any previous president, ANY PREVIOUS PRESIDENT.
To put it simple, our country is not in a better place now than when he started his term. It will take some time to repair what he has destroyed but we will as a country and things will be better once he and his goonies are gone.

I think you need to study what happened in Venezuela a lot closer (and not just consume Fox News and OAN propaganda). The death of freedom does not come from tax policy. No one likes taxes, tax rates vary from country to country, every country requires them or you'd live like you do in Afghanistan. You can have a reasonable discussion over the optimal marginal rates for growth etc... but there are people with very good freedoms at a wide variety of tax rates.

You should be much more concerned with the attorney general, the surveillance state (both public and private) and the manipulation of information coming from state actors. You can be "conservative" or "socialist" and be anti-democratic or pro-democratic. People in Finland pay lots of taxes but have lots of freedoms. Their schools are excellent, they have gun ownership levels on par with the US, and they have the right to travel to any other country in the world.

What gives us freedom is the rule of law, when ideally that law is applied uniformly to all citizens regardless of socio-economic status. When the rule of law is under assault, then freedom becomes precarious. You clearly do not agree with much of the Democrat policy platform, but use of the term "demonrat" makes it quite clear that it is not a policy disagreement you have but rather you've been indoctrinated do believe that there is an enemy you need to focus on so that you do not focus on real issues and real problems. When party is elevated over country, you must be cautious. When a person is elevated above the law, then things get seriously dangerous.

Wearing a mask is trivial (but scientifically effective in slowing the spread of respiratory diseases). Be careful of a surveillance police state. Be careful of attempts to limit free speech by government actors. Be careful of attacks on a free media (even if you aren't a fan of 1 side or another). Be very careful of a cult of personality (cue the 1990s guitar rif from Living Color)
