Frustration is building with CT’s GDA club as they failed to add any ECNL players to their rosters. Consumers know what they want. They want to enjoy their high school playing days, compete in a high quality club league and get recruited to play in college. ECNL offers what the consumers want. No one gives a crap about the US Soccer federation!

jeez it wasn't me, but I go to work third shift at electric boat. Tough to pay for club fees 9 to 5. Not everyone up when you are sleeping is a degenerate. Yeah, and I hate OW too. Bunch of poseurs playing in town travel tourneys. OW scumbags

The ECNL was formed to be one stop shopping for college. The United Stayes Soccer Federation said this grassroots movement would eleiminate pay-for-play model yet they failed to address a pay-for-play league. ECNL doesn’t want what’s right for DA Academies and the potential for regional soccer leagues with promotion and relegation. ECNL want the $$$, and the dream is college soccer which is parents hot button. This league and college mode is all that’s wrong with US becoming a World Cup Champion or even a World Powerhouse in Soccer.

The Federation should just drop the hammer and only sanction leagues with a promotion relegation model, everyone else is a rougue league. Leverage ODP and National Training Centers as a means to ending Pay-For-Play Leagues.

No the problem is the USSF tried to make the top too big for what the demand and really the quality is that's out there. Tippy-top needs to be smaller.

why? the tippy top is what it is. the players define that. The fact that other kids not at that level choose to PAY to play in a GDA club is just that , a choice. Kids choose to do that for may reasons. Why is that a problem? How do you know that si a problem already after one year ?

Unfortunate in that it splits up strong players among various "elite" leagues. IMO kids can make more progress when they are with other players at the same level and now strong players are divided up. Not the end of the world but not great.
