The GDA is on the threshold of greatness and you will get to see this very soon. We're 'building from the back' so its not evident to anyone but experts that we are better than what might be assumed. Our new director has a track record that is impressive and we have garnered more talent this year than any previous years! Players are migrating to GDA gradually as they see the vision of success unfold right before their eyes -it goes way beyond our W-L this year. As a GDA parent who has had kids on Club at various levels including the 'vaunted' ECNL, I can say that GDA is resoundingly superior for many many reasons. In fact we should rename to EGDA to emphasize our dominance and prove once and for all that GDA CRUSHES ecnl! We are connected at the hip with our US Soccer counterparts and not a sideshow that only cares about D1 conversions etc.. and not the development of the whole player.

GDA had more D1 as well as more overall commits than either local ECNL club. No sarcasm necessary.

If you're talking Thornz Asylum then you must know that every one of those girls committed while playing ECNL. Thornz had nothing to do with anything, and never have.

Obviously, the college coaches that recruited them must have told them to switch to GDA for a higher speed of play. Particularly in the Pacific Northwest, where the ECNL teams are all second-rate.

(Doing ECNL in SoCal or Texas makes sense. Up here, it's just another bunch of local yokels chasing dollars).

Lies again. You obviously do not know the players from the older team, and what club they came from. Over half of them never played With FC or CU ECNL.

So ECNL gets no credit because all of their girls played OYSA. GDA gets no credit because all of their girls played ECNL or OYSA. I guess that OYSA is where it's at! Why would all of those ECNL girls leave? Argument has been that they were benchwarmers but how do benchwarmers commit to D1? Also, if they were not benchwarmers, why leave ECNL? I think that there is something telling that ECNL players on GDA are no longer playing ECNL. Saving money the last year? Nah, just realizing that there is a better alternative to throwing money out the window for inferior training, less training, and 2nd rate facilities.

Title IX has created a supply and demand problem for the non-revenue after thought sport of girls soccer. There are not enough quality girls wanting to play in college, not nearly enough quality available to fill all the roster spots of over 1000 or so colleges across the nation, as a result spots on most college teams are handed out without regard for playing ability; especially squad spots number 14 to 24. You could play in a tiddlywinks league and land a spot and never wast a dime on travel. Jus sayin. You idiots.

Only thing high speed in GDA is the speed with which clubs are leaving the fake soccer league and heading back to the top league in the country - ECNL.

Actually most of those girls played in OPL, then ECNL. OYSA was as dead as the GDA will be soon until Peregrine revived it and made it into their cash cow.

Founders of the ECNL are not good for soccer. They're greedy. The platform is okay, but the leadership is poor. GDA came as a result of these club owners not willing to work with US Soccer. Some states may have decent ECNL options, but others do not. The only ones overseeing ECNL are the club owners with a direct financial interest in the league.

USSF is greedy as well, power and market share. If it was all about the quality there wouldn't be half the clubs in the system, or players, that are there now. In reality they care about 100 girls in the US. The rest are practice cones.

I still would rather a system where the USSF oversees DA clubs. It is at least an independent body. Can they do better, Absolutely. With ECNL, there really is no system of oversight.
