Don’t bash leagues. Thorns is not bad. Ecnl is not bad. Oysa is not bad. Oregon simply doesn’t have many great soccer players that can play D1. It doesn’t matter which league those top players play in, they will end up D1. It doesn’t matter what league the lower players play in, they will end up at schools like Southern Oregon, Concordia & George Fox. It all depends on the player not the league. From what I’ve seen, the players going to low level schools are just as happy and their parents just as proud as the D1 commits so why should the rest of us judge?

The 01 Girls thread had drifted off into oblivion. Whoever bumped it up, I'd like to see someone smack you upside the head. Hypothetically of course. Or a hypothetical asteroid land on your unoccupied car.


I know families on CU, WashT, CFC, FCP, Thorns Academy and Eugene. All seem very happy with where they are. All of the teams have a good handful of girls either committed to college or lining up good college spots.

What's the beef? Let the old grudges go. Be happy. Pour a glass of wine and sit on your porch and enjoy the nice weather. This will all be over soon.

Salem and Eugene girls had a great experience in Hawaii. They are the two top dogs left in Oregon and it gets boring only being challenged by each other. Traveling to Hawaii with your soccer sisters, testing yourself against the top teams in the region, and making memories that will last a lifetime - all in all a great time. It’s a shame you have so much bitterness and hatred in your heart that you can’t be anything but negative. The Salem and Eugene teams have both sent players to academy and they support the girls who chose a different path. Whatever path your kid is on it’s obvious you feel the need to cut down others to attempt to elevate your own choices. Really sad.

Yep. Only successful enough to lay a beat down on every other team in the state many many times over the years. Hey, how DID CFC and Eastside and WashT do the last time all these teams played together - 2015 Champions League? Seems I remember FCP beating up on both CFC and WashT on their way to the finals. And didn't Eastside lose to FCP's "B" team in that very same tournament? And that was almost 3 years ago. Since then FCP has had 3 years of strong development playing in the top league in the country while the other 3 have faded into oblivion playing rec ball in OYSA (albeit at a higher level than Thornz Asylum). But don't let the facts get in your way, Timbers lemming caveman libtard.
