Yup and long bus rides are a lot cheaper than flights, too

Sure but depending on the location of the game, a bus ride just isn't feasible.

Depends on the school and the conference they play in. Plenty get absolutely no TV coverage and only a few make any playoffs. For some schools football is their budgetary savior, others is BBall. Plenty of schools barely break even overall and the big sport(s) is the only thing that balances athletic department budgets.

If this fades out after 3 months, probably no big deal. But if it goes into or resurfaces during the fall season, you will see a lot of colleges that rely entirely on tuition go under. The bigger colleges with big endowments and research will survive, but athletics will be a secondary consideration. So long as Covid-19 is an active risk, the NCAA will not allow teams to play.

^^^Hard to believe there are still deniers out there, but still see silly comments like this:

                      Here’s the facts:

In 4 months it’s been known to exist Covid-19 has infected millions

Anyone can be infected with Covid-19 whether you are 1 year old or 100 years old

Of those with confirmed cases, about 15-20% require hospitalization. 50% of these patients are under the age of 60.

Of those confirmed cases, about 7-8% will require critical care in an ICU-type environment. Many of these patients will be permanently disabled due damage to their lungs and other organs if they survive.

Of those confirmed cases, 2-5% will die depending on medical care

It’s spreading worldwide like wildfire, doubling the number of confirmed cases every 1-2 weeks, especially in the USA.

Dr. Fauci warned that it would come back fall/winter and said we need to be prepared for that. Doesn’t look good. Hoping it all just goes away and we can get back to normal but the experts are saying that might be awhile. Remember a week or two ago when we were debating whether the men would get to go to a two season schedule? That idea must be dead now too.

Drs at CDC have noted approx a 1% total death count, worldwide. Even US reflects that number.

Amount of positive tests vs active illness vs death. And now that malaria drug, zythro combo have had only positive results....we are moving in a positive direction.

                          Eyeore...take your meds.

He said it COULD or MAY recycle in the fall like the flu...not that it would.

You are an idiot. Fact. Comparing a new 4 month old virus to the flu that’s been around forever is stupid. The medical experts have all said this spreads much more easily, faster, and is far deadlier than the flu. I guess If we played your denial game and went about our business we’d all get a chance to find out how much more deadly than the flu it is, but thankfully (hopefully) most of us are not as stupid as you.
