Who is saying soccer won’t happen in the next 6-8 weeks? If this happens we have bigger things to worry about than $300

Way too premature to draw those conclusions. Everyone is trying to remain hopeful and won't make any calls until leagues (or states) officially make calls. If it's all cancelled then clubs have to do the right thing if they want to see customers next year

Of course you do have the choice to not send in money for next year fake indignant guy.

Your club doesn’t supply new backpacks each year? Lame

Right now....right now........it's impossible to put a dollar figure on what's going to happen. There are so many moving parts to this and that club soccer is about the 75th priority on a top-50 list here.

I'm just being logical here, if the season resumes in any shape or form, you'll not be getting a dime back. Be sure of this.

If we don't go back, that $300 number refund, I don't think is too far off of what you can expect (if anything)

That will be great. For many, it will be the first eye-opener that this is a business, not some fun hobby their kids can participate in. If that happens, given the current health climate and likelihood that this will flare up again between this Fall and Spring, that many more prudent parents do not sign up to donate paychecks to millionaires again without very different payment schedules and assurances, in writing, of what will happen should this pop up again next season. Oh yeah, and the is it projected that 200,000 people from CT may lose jobs. High-pay, pay-to-play is going to experience an extraordinary market correction ... as much to do with a worldwide pandemic as how clubs handled it with regard to refunds and handling of coaches, player interaction after ......

These club will scratch, claw and bite to not give refunds. I don't blame them, Noone wants to see clubs go under or coaches not paid. They are laying the ground work now with frequent emails, videos and group exercises and workout games for the kids. Which is great.
I think at the very worst if ECNL is cancelled clubs will try to salvage end of May. June and July with in club games and scrimmages, practices, maybe a mini tournament at PDA or CFC or FSA . Maybe a few scrimmages with other local clubs. Or the Jeff Cup if resurrected in July. If that happens I think thats means people are safe, some soccer is back and parents will have a breath of relief from the fear. And hardly anyone will complain.
If EVERYTHING is cancelled they will have to give something back. Its only fair. But I don't think it will come to that. If it does then it means the pandemic is still raging.

My hope is Memorial Day weekend, June and July will be hectic in New England and New York and New Jersy. Nonstop schedule of practices, local tournaments, scrimmages, league games, ID camps and clinics , personal training and regional tournaments. 4 months into 2. Get in all in before coaches start their college preseasons in August.

In some parts of the country ( Florida for one) May and June will be like April will be here. So National tournaments might not happen.
