NAY you can do it yourself for free. Unless you don't have the time.

Don't pay a nickel for it. You'll just get camp and ID event invited from schools you've never heard of in Nebraska

        Some advantages:
Keeps track of all your emails to coaches in one place.
Gives you pretty much every college coaches email address at a click of a button.
Enables parents to see if player is doing their part in contacting coaches, following up after games, camps etc.
Enables club or school coach if given access to see if player is doing their part in contacting coaches, following up after games, camps etc.

        Some disadvantages:
Costs money every month for profile needed. The free one does not have the features that make it an advantage.
You get invited to random camps that are of no use.
Enables club or school coach if given access to see that player is not doing their part in contacting coaches, following up after games, camps etc if they are not doing.

Yeah - do your homework and reach out to schools; don't expect them to reach out to you. Only top studs have coaches knocking on their doors. Chances are your kid isn't one of them. Coaches are looking for players that are good fits for their programs, want to come to their schools and won't have too much trouble getting admitted and keeping up with college demands. Not many will go on fishing expeditions looking for talent.

            1) Start with considering what level soccer you want to target - talk with your club and coaches about what types of programs are a realistic fit. Carefully consider the level D1, D2 vs D3 - there's pros and cons to all and some might not work for you.

            2) Come up with a good list of schools that are good fits in terms of academics, size, location etc. Then look at the soccer at those schools - look at rosters of consistent players (not the benchwarmers) and their HS aged credentials. Watch game footage. It's ok to have a few reaches, but as with academics, the more realistically you target the better the odds of success.

            3) Just be organized. Makes lists or spreadsheets, whatever helps you keep track of emails, addresses, follow ups etc. Contact coaches to express interest with your resume (academics and soccer) + a 2 minute highlight video and upcoming game schedules. It's a lot like job hunting - you write thank you emails if they came to watch your or if you met with them. There may be long stretches where you don't hear anything, if at all. Keep at it.

            Cost - free

Caveat - this is your player's job, not yours. Offer guidance, maybe do mock phone calls with coaches to prepare, but don't do the above for them. It's their life, their choice and they need to own the process. Also, if coaches get a sniff of overly involved parents they'll most likely jettison.
