    He has a point, but there are so many things that ail the system. That's just a piece of the puzzle

      I am glad he specifically called this out. Everybody is crowing "pay to play" but as he said that is just one of multiple issues. The arrogant soccer culture is almost as important as the pay to play.

        USSF thinks they know all there is to know about soccer, and they know what's best for US soccer. To continually improve you have to 1) figure out what works and doesn't, and WHY 2) be willing to toss what isn't working even if it's an emotional favorite. Everything should be on the table, 3) be willing and open to look at all different methods, techniques etc and try some new things 4) be willing to fail. Sometimes the best learning comes from failure.
