Here’s the thing that most people miss. It is possible to be a very average club player and be a superstar in HS as long as you are fast. But club ball and college is a different animal. Most kids have speed and skill. The reverse is also true. It is possible to be a very good club and college player and be an average HS player because most teams don’t have enough talent to knock the ball a bit and it becomes a track meet. Unless they have a coach that can play to the players strengths, it would not be unusual for a very good player to look mediocre on a mediocre HS team. Haven’t seen KL play in HS, but have seen her in club and she is excellent. I’ve also seen a few HS superstars that can’t get off the bench for their club teams.

HS coaching has so much to do with it all. A coach with no idea what they're doing can make a great kid look mediocre without much effort.

Seems like USSF thinks she has something there as well. Even if she never goes further there she's accomplished far more than all of the kids of TS haters. I forget here she committed (Michigan?) but the coach seems to think so also. A lot TS banter is entertainment, but going after kids is despicable.

Michigan is such a power 6-6-6 record didn't even make the conference tourny.

Good player yes. Great player no. If you think her dad is not on this site you are crazy.

KL is a star when she is surrounded by players who know how to play soccer. Thus the D1 scholarship...etc. Her club team is loaded and that is where she shines. Ask her to carry a group of kick ballers and everyone on her club team would fail to do that as well. Go watch her in ECNL action before you just negatively call her out. WEAK!

That kid is coming to adulthood .... they should know how to play at this point and should learn that there are different ways to play soccer and they should have also figured out a way to play on that team that would prevent them from being labeled as "mediocre". Truly top players find ways in most situations to excel and be noticed as exceptional.

Leave KL alone. Feel free to talk about teams, conferences, etc but leave kids alone! You guys are all a bunch of low life DBs that have nothing better to do much tool on kids. Get a life!

Who has labeled her as mediocre besides you? Have you seen her play? If so, against who? Please continue to share your excellent talent assessment so we can all learn from you.

How many goals has she scored and how many assists?

"That kid is coming to adulthood" *** is that supposed to mean? What's your point? She's still in HS.

The point is, if your kid is a middie and the coach has the back line launch the ball forward over the top every time, good luck having your middie make an impact. If your coach gives out participation tropies (Hey Ludlowe!) and takes 25+ players on a roster and plays seniors b/c they've "earned the right" over more talented players, good luck making an impact. My point was that HS soccer isn't the best place to judge a soccer player's talents b/c often times its bad coaching that leads to bad soccer.

Don't know and don't care. Have seen her play many times against some of the best clubs in the country. Yes, her club is stacked, but she's one of the strongest on that club. And, to her credit, she doesn't wear it on her sleeve -- great kid, competitor and teammate -- which is I suspect why she's a Big 10 commit before sophomore year.

And your daughter will be playing where after high school?

                            - Not her parent.

Somewhere to focus on her studies first, soccer second. After all, that is why you go to college...correct? Don't worry...it is a great soccer school to boot. Who would have thought!

Not related to the Adams family

And her club team would destroy every high school team in the state. They are loaded.
