It is possible to be a very good club and college player and be an average HS player because most teams don’t have enough talent to knock the ball a bit and it becomes a track meet. Unless they have a coach that can play to the players strengths, it would not be unusual for a very good player to look mediocre on a mediocre HS team. Haven’t seen KL play in HS, but have seen her in club and she is excellent. I’ve also seen a few HS superstars that can’t get off the bench for their club teams.

Michigan is such a power 6-6-6 record didn't even make the conference tourny.
Good player yes. Great player no. If you think her dad is not on this site you are crazy.

So why is this on the FCIAC site?

KL is a star when she is surrounded by players who know how to play soccer. Thus the D1 scholarship...etc. Her club team is loaded and that is where she shines. Ask her to carry a group of kick ballers and everyone on her club team would fail to do that as well. Go watch her in ECNL action before you just negatively call her out. WEAK!

Leave KL alone. Feel free to talk about teams, conferences, etc but leave kids alone! You guys are all a bunch of low life DBs that have nothing better to do much tool on kids. Get a life!

The point is, if your kid is a middie and the coach has the back line launch the ball forward over the top every time, good luck having your middie make an impact. If your coach gives out participation tropies (Hey Ludlowe!) and takes 25+ players on a roster and plays seniors b/c they've "earned the right" over more talented players, good luck making an impact. My point was that HS soccer isn't the best place to judge a soccer player's talents b/c often times its bad coaching that leads to bad soccer.
