Earlier post asked why does playing combined or up matter. Quote from Reyna
"We have an entire U17 team playing up because it’s tough for them. We have 14-15 year-olds playing against 17,18 year-olds, 15-16 year-olds playing with the first team to make it difficult. That’s what we can do and make sure that the players have the right habits every day but at the same time, we move all elite players up and they earn it. They earn it through the way they train, the way they behave and they earn it through their performances.”

But really couldn't player 30 at u13 overtake player 10 by u16? Is there really that much difference between player 30 and player 10? Cast a wide net and give the kids time to develop.

Completely putting winning over development for their best player. Even the USNT know to play her up with the 02’s, but SSS won’t because her ability to win games for the club becomes minimized the higher they push her up, even though it is what would be best for the player.

So we feel confident about U16 and U17 getting their own age group next year and likely GDA will expand down to U13, but what are the odds of U12 happening next year?

"Arrogant" is the better word to describe it.
