Shep and Jp don’t own anything, just mouthpieces for the team and league

CT Rush, or New England Rush, or Rush is just a dumpster fire trying to reinvent themselves in the conversation. Any way that you slice it, it still smells like rotting trash.

I believe CFC had a team called "passion" but i don't think they played in UWS league.

that team crashed and burned just like several cfc branches over the years

Pretty sad they can't put a team together given that they are the best girls club in the world

The leagues these teams play in are inconsistent and there hasn't been a huge demand for this. There's always CFC alumni on the FSA team. They generally try to fill the roster with D1 kids home for the summer.

CFC definitely has more alumni in D1 schools than any other club so it's not like it would be a problem to find players. The issue is that many programs go back in July or August 1st at the latest. The kids get home around Memorial Day and many like to work, workout and even take a summer vacation before returning for pre-season. Believe it or not, getting a few weeks off without organized soccer isn't a bad thing.

another classic cfc spin on why we can't afford lights and why we don't have a womens team

If they did well, why is it no longer?

US women lucky to pull of win yesterday. All they did was play the long ball

So is this what FSA is hanging onto now....sponsoring a women's team?

CFC and OW have without a doubt produced the most college bound women in the last decade. Neither sponsor a team. Neither is ever shy about turning down $$ either which simply suggests that there isn't a huge demand.

Keep an eye on the Rush roster and watch the level of player they will be forced to run out there. It will be a broad invite to D1 players initially, most will decline and it will drop quickly from there.

its no longer due to the pandemic but it was on its way out the year before
YU also had a team in that league WPSL

they fall apart for many reasons, because it is very inexpensive and the coaches do it for next to nothing ( so practices are about staying in shape for the upcoming college season)
the kids have other things to do (vacation etc...) so a little inconsistent and disorganized
no one wants to travel to play a game on a sunday in the summer
but the play is great and the talent level is very good
most join the team the closest to where they live for convenience

Agree that the talent level is good.

There must be some demand, Fusion is fielding a B team this year
