Someone on the Seattle board just posted Seattle is rumored to be getting another ECNL club. This will only further dilute the talent in the PNW. OR and WA would have been better off with each state getting 1 GDA and 1 ECNL team.

I don't think Reign is going to last in GDA - no SU or Eastside feeder anymore, kind of a mom and pop NWSL franchise, those girls will have to pay full freight for GDA, without many games close. Many, many alternatives up there, whether ECNL or USYSA or Crossfire.

One interesting scenario is that GDA might end up being what many said it should have been in the beginning - focused on SCal, East coast, and maybe Chicago or Texas. You will see families and clubs opt not to do it, but think they will continue to do it. They just over-expanded.

NPL is a joke, super cup league is a joke,new elite super league is just a rumor, local premier league does not exist, ECNL is too expensive for most and competition is lousy (Oregon teams are winning most of their games), GDA too expensive for many, unless you play for Thorns, Crossfire Premier(free for two older age groups), LAFC( free for all age groups), LA Galaxy (free for all age groups).

Keep Burlingame! The 13-0 whippings are a perk of being in GDA.

There is no feeling that can match traveling all day and then slapping 13 goals on a team. If a restart takes two to three minutes over half the game is spent plucking balls out of the back of the net.

The 12th goal feels just as good as the 1st.

Good that GDA added a couple bottom dwellers. Almost makes up for the two clubs that have already announced they are leaving: Kansas City and Dallas Texans. With many more about to announce that 1 year is enough GDA for them.

Gda isn’t perfect but it’s nice to have it as a choice for those that want it. Same goes for Ecnl. Be happy our girls have some choices and simply steer clear of the ones you don’t like.
