    Different poster and I disagree - in a country of our size and plenty of passionate players (maybe not on a percentage basis, but in total # because of our size) we should be able to cobble together NT teams stronger than what we have.

      When your country doesn't love the sport above everything else it doesn't matter the population. When your country does love the sport above all like Iceland, Netherlands & Belgium you can do great things with a small population.

      This is the USA, Soccer is not a sport of our people. Heck, NASCAR has a better following.
      That is changing rapidly - China is investing heavily in soccer.

        Good luck with that, in the last year & 1/2 they have one win in 7 tries in WC qualifying.
