Obviously Trump hasn't completely cleaned out this swamp yet.

A House Republican's line of questioning uncovered revelations that in May 2017 senior FBI leadership debated whether President Trump was directed by the Russian government to fire FBI Director James Comey.

Contacted by Fox, U.S. Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, confirmed his questions to former FBI General Counsel James A. Baker uncovered the claims, some of which were first reported Friday by the New York Times.

Ratcliffe called the Baker transcript leak "selective," adding that the full transcript of the Oct. 18 interview, which is undergoing a classification review by the FBI and the Justice Department, reveals "that in May 2017, political bias infected senior FBI leadership, and emotion -- not evidence -- drove their decision making."

A separate source said Baker told investigators the internal FBI debate over the president's decision to fire Comey on May 9, 2017, included personnel who have since left the bureau for cause, retired, or have been demoted.

The House Republican would not further describe the contents of the Baker transcript but said it was clear, based on his direct questioning of Baker, that in May 2017 "FBI senior leadership could not accept Comey was fired for cause and the president had the constitutional authority to terminate Comey."

The Justice Department inspector general concluded in a report last year that Comey was grossly insubordinate in 2016 when he recommended against criminal charges in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

No one was in the Helsinki meeting, only interpreters. The same meeting after which Tump kissed Putin's azz on the world stage. Needless to say trying to subpoena Russia's interpreter won't happen. Not sure if they've subpoenaed Trump's yet. In addition. while Tillerson was in the Hamburg meeting he has yet to reveal what was said in the meeting. Nor is Putin stupid enough to say something in front of Tilerson. And if there was nothing untoward said, why did Trump take the notes away from the interpreter. For a guy you claim is innocent he sure acts guilty, all the time.

Having to testify in front of Congress, under oath and threat of prison, tends to shake people's memories up. Same with the FBI.

And of course only a translator was present for the private meeting in Helsinki.
Not according to Tillerson himself. Just more BS coming from partisan media.

                    Bwahahaha!

Libs have no credibility when they post ridiculous posts such as this.

This is how Trump kisses Putin's azz.

                    - the toughest sanctions in years have fallen on Russia’s elite under the Trump administration.
                    - Trump signed into law the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act.
                    - sanctions imposed over Russia’s invasion of Crimea in 2014 have not been lifted
                    - Trump approved the sale of lethal weapons to Ukraine — something Barack Obama did not do.
                    - the Trump administration expelled 60 Russian diplomats from the U.S following the poisoning of former KGB agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the U.K.
                    - Trump ordered missiles fired at Syrian military sites, openly targeting strategic operations and allies of Russia.

Trump just lifted sanctions for one Russian oligarch; more to follow one by one so as not to attract the attention of Congress. he dare not do sweeping changes because sanctions were approved by Congress by a more than veto proof majority vote. The sanctions don't really impact Putin, and really not even his oligarchs who are still free to travel the world and have money stashed in countless countries. Expelling diplomats - again, no big deal to Putin. Trump is hading Putin Syria and the middle east really. Russia is also more than happy to sell weapons to middle eastern countries.

Meanwhile Russians are amassing equipment and troops on the Ukrainian border and the concern is he will invade again in the next two months (many troops never left). He's up for a so-called election this year so a distraction serves him well. Ukraine has also nbeen pushing his buttons because the battles in the east are limiting the countries ability to start growing again. Trump will do nothing other than say "cut it out." While the lack of US action under Obama was disheartening it is not surprising. It was also why he couldn't do anything with Syria - the GOP led Congress and the nation had little taste for any more foreign battles.

Russia can have Syria. They can take back Afghanistan too.

"The latest proof comes in a New York Times report that the FBI initiated an investigation in May of 2017 into whether President Donald Trump was serving as a covert Russian agent. The accusation itself was ludicrous on its face. But from a legal standpoint, the FBI's probe constituted an egregious abuse of power. The Bureau had no probable cause, no evidence, and no reasonable suspicions. They investigated Trump because they could. They defied the law, ignored or perverted facts, and debased the integrity of a heretofore-respected law enforcement agency. Why did these rogue officials commit such an outrageous act of malfeasance? In a word, vengeance."

Mark Penn (a Democrat btw): "Let’s review some of the actions of the FBI director. Many of these actions were clear at the time; others we know only now. What we have learned since underscores that the president’s firing of Comey was more than justified, and the actions of Comey’s staff and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to trigger the most extensive investigation in history of a campaign, an administration and a president appear to be wholly without justification – and were based instead on politically inspired emotion and hysteria."

"Somehow every clear security breach in the Clinton camp – like an aide’s classified mail on the laptop of a sex offender or huge payments and contributions from Russian-connected sources – was no big deal, while every fourth-hand contact with someone who could possibly be linked to Russia was evidence that Donald Trump was secretly serving as a Russian agent."

The investigations follow ongoing reports by Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv that the music streaming service had inflated its listening numbers of artists such as Beyonce and Kanye West.
