Those are just middle of the pack EDP teams, can you imagine if they played some of the tougher EDP outfits? Has the GA competition dropped off that much post the DA dissolving? Makes you wonder....

Well, yes and no. 9v9 and younger teams no doubt but 11v11 academies with histories of top NJ teams usually don't or at least are able to compensate for lack of size with skills/teamwork. You would have to be saying that STA, CSA and SJEB all had smaller girls while playing a combined 16 different teams and of those 11 had bigger, stronger but not as skilled or trained players.

Now, what is more plausible, that STA/CSA lost because they lost good players when they went GA as both clubs at these ages are already well documented to have had a high turn over rate and coaching changes from last years teams. Or that all the other teams were just bigger? Obviously the SJEB Rush team had very little turn over and no coaching issues, at least none recorded on these forums, and they won, not dominantly on the scoreboard but even with a loss Wall.

Plus, lets not forget the 08 CSA GA team was playing in the 2nd bracket.

Entire state or just a certain area? You talking wins or actual training? Boys or girls?

          For Girls

North Jersey - PDA North Blue - They win a lot and if your kid can ride it out on the Blue team to recruitment age they should be good.

Southern NJ - SJEB / SJEB Rush - Especially at the younger ages even on a 2nd team they will usually be taught actual skills. They produce some of the most technical players in SJ who later go to Penn Fusion or PDA North. You just need to make sure they have one of the good trainers/coaches because some of the older underling coaches don't do much.

          For Boys

          Not sure about north

South - Real - Top 100 clubs in US as per Soccerwire so they must be doing something right.

Why does anyone care about other teams or clubs?

              This is so disturbing.

Hands down PDA Blue. No other 08 team comes close. Other than that the Torpedoes are a strong team that can compete with any other 08 team around and they are a town team.

CSA never really had a good team at those ages. STA actually picked up some good talent on 08 and 07 this year. The 07 is a solid team and have a great coach in BT. Surprised they didn't do better in the tournament. They will do well if they can keep the good players but honestly when they see GA is no good those better kids will land on ECNL teams. The 08 still coached by KS. They are average at best just like most other STA teams in older ages who lack offense. STA just is not a scoring club and KS is not a great game coach. She should stick to coaching little kids.

and if you are far north enough, world class 08 is strong.

Although these are younger teams we should be seeing better performance from "Elite" clubs like STA and CSA. It is a reality check for the parents who decided to go to STA or CSA for GAL. The fact is STA is not an elite Club. They had a chance when they were DA to bring in some real talent but now with GAL they are only bringing in B team kids from other clubs. The results from this tournament are exactly what I would expect from STA. You will see same result from older ages.

Yes definitely. Always PDA and World Class for tops in the area For all ages.

I am not sure what you r smoking but the top 11 kids on our team r not “b Team kids”. Most would not even consider edp. Further kids have been offered spots on world pda and matchfit but decided to stay put because of the large rosters and uncertainty of playing time. There are kids up and down the age groups that fit in this catagory. They stay because they are happy. It’s that simple.

Torpedos better than World Class in 07 and 08!

Right now but will see if Torpedos can keep players in their club!
